This is just a little something I started writing. I plan to finish it.
The city of Neovia is much changed these days. There is an air of insecurity amoungst the villagers. Although there is an aversion to magic, there is a high level of superstition, although no one will admit it. Any unexplainable event is likely to cause an uproar and finger-pointing. Sophie and many other's are not welcome here. The villages frown on anyone who is different, there have been quite a few accused of performing magic, even some of our most trusted apothecarys. I've seen some of our towns must loyal and trusted citizens simply pack up and move. Most have left because of the harsh treatment they have recieved, fleeing to the haunted woods. Others remain on the outskirts of town. It is rumored that some of our youth grow restless with the new rules. I myself think they are too harsh. "Laughing should only be done in moderation?" I just find the whole thing senseless. I also find myself growing restless of life here. I crave adventure and excitment. I find myself daydreaming lately, which I know would get me into trouble if anyone caught me. I am wondering if I should stay or go?
