Has anyone noticed the Google Search on their sidebar?

I wonder what else is coming?

Games Room Update! - As promised, there's a big suprise today in the Games Room. We've added many new categories, the ability to rate a game's difficulty, links to related games and site features, a new design, and loads of other stuff. Head on over and take a look if you like.

I didn't even notice the search option. What I did notice is a giant Google Search Box appearing at the top of every pet lookup.

At this point it seems Australia and New Zealand (the southern hemisphere)? doesn't have it yet.

EDIT:

I changed my country to USA and I get the Google Search.

2nd EDIT:

If you go to your pets lookup (where all the stats are - NOT the petpage) there is a HUGE Google Search Toolbar across the top.

Grrrr. Well that's incredibly stupid.

If I wanted to search Google, I'd got to Google!

This is the big overhaul they were talking about? I am severely smurfed. I'm beyond angry. The words to describe how I feel right now are not repeatable on this family friendly forum.

I don't suppose there is a way to adblock this crap, is there?

Please tell me this isn't the "surprise" referred to in the news the other day. Someone please tell me that this is just some other change that they planned to implement alongside whatever it is they were overhauling, and that the real surprise will be up soon. That search bar is beyond fugly.

Please god don't let this be it. Seriously. This would be like getting nothing but socks and underwear for Christmas, only much much MUCH more disappointing.

Same here, and I am in US. Maybe it depends on browser. I am using Firefox (My first day using it, and I love it!), but I'll go check in IE.

Though it is worth noting, there's no search bar on user lookups. Yet.

It just disappeared for my account. I was seeing it when searching for items, viewing pet lookups, and under the search box, there were options to search Neopets or Google. I'm hoping this has disappeared for good. I hate it.

I really dont mind it on the side bar where the search has always been its just a lil clicky no big deal but that HUGE ad type search thing is NOT acceptable
