After three weeks of nearly non-stop rain resulting in an 11 day boil-water advisory, we ended up with an abnormally cold week of record-breaking snowfall (roughly 17 centimetres or 6", considered a lot for Vancouver but nothing for the rest of Canada), power outages, and around -10ºC (14ºF) temperatures with -20ºC windchill (-4ºF). Wonderful.
We finally have a bit of sun though! It's 2ºC (36ºF) right now, which is still below normal for this time of year, but hey, it's a start! Definitely better than typing with gloves on in this freezing basement.
Vancouver and the UK have similar temperatures. I'm not sure why, but yep. Same with Washington State. I read about WHY we have similar temperatures, but it was in Geography class more than 4 years ago so I can't remember XD
