Which way do you lean politically?

I consider myself to be liberal, but with some conservative ideals. In politics, I find myself siding more with the Grits/NDP/Greens than the Tories. As an observer of US politics, I dislike what the GOP's doing but I don't exactly know what the Dems are doing.

So in all, middle-leaning-left.

I used to be vehemently liberal. Now, although my opinions haven't changed, I kind of hate both parties, because they've got such hypocritical fanatics doing most of the televised politicking. "God loves you, but you're still going to Hell" versus "Everybody should accept everybody else for what they are, unless they're Republican, because Republican views are wrong."
My leanings are now almost entirely toward the liberal, with a few exceptions--mostly independent or no-stance rather than conservative, though. And I'm willing to be interviewed, though it seems you'll have no shortage of liberals.

Politics confuse me (especially when the political parties here all have some good ideas). Nevertheless I am far more liberal than conservative, I would never even think of supporting a right wing party.

The thing is all parties here also talk about a lot of stuff I don't want to support though, so that's the reason for me not voting Feel free to interview me if you like, although as stated earlier you don't seem to lack us liberals.

Eh, I'd have to say I'm mostly conservative. But that's probably because I like to hear arguments/reasoning for things, and for most issues I hear most of those from my mom and dad, who are conservative.

I can make my own decisions, it's just I like to hear the reasoning for them.

Mostly liberal, but since I went to Catholic school for 8 years, I am somewhat conservative with some issues.

Heh, I hear that. I had 15 years of it, and that describes me perfectly.

I think that I am very liberal on most of the issues that I can think of, but I am also in the 'don't care' section as there are a lot of issues that I don't know/care anything about. I don't think I've ever been anything of a conservative though.

I know I should care, I've heard that before... hasn't changed my mind. I have enough to worry about in my life without adding something else. Plus, I have a general dislike for politics in general, because of what discussions of politics can often to do people that are otherwise sane and likable. Even "tolerant" people often turn out to be not so tolerant when someone opposes their opinion on something important to them.

It's hard to define left and right by the two prevailing parties in US government, since the Democrats have been doing a poor job of defining themselves lately and the Bush administration has taken the Republican party so far to the right that most Republicans don't even recognize it anymore. Overall, I'd say I probably still think of left/right more along the lines of how the parties were running a decade or more ago.

Socially, I lean to the left.

Fiscally, I lean a bit to the right.

Militarily, right now I think both sides need to get their heads out of their collective butts and listen to the generals who know what's going on, but normally I'd tend to lean a bit right on that issue as well.

I'm sure I'm more "left" than the Democrats. They aren't really "liberal" on the grand scheme of themes anyway. They're just more left than the Republicans. American politics is pretty conservative overall.

However, I am a registered Democrat even though I don't really consider myself one. I just like being able to vote in primaries, if I choose to.
