How many stat points do you get if you are rewarded a stat increase ?
How many of these can you do a day ?

You get one stat point at a time, and you can do 10 quests per day. That includes quests from Edna and the Snow Faerie as well. So, if you want to do as many Kitchen Quests as possible, don't take any quests from them.

If you do get a stat point, is there any statistical breakdown of how much chance you have on getting a certain stat? For all I remember, I've mainly gotten an HP increase

As far as I know, these are the following probabilities:
p(item) = 1/3
p(cash) = 1/3
p(stat) = 1/3

Within statistics, you have equal odds of getting a level, str, def, mov, or hp.

Thus your odds of any particular stat gain are 1/15. Your odds of getting a usable stat are 4/15.

Therefore, unless you have cash to burn, you should never do a kitchen quest that costs more than 1/3 of your training cost. For me, it takes 8 codestones to gain a stat, which is about 30k now. So I don't do any KQ above 10k in cost.
