Shucks. I'm living in S'pore and an earthquake far away in Taiwan is affecting me! AND a dozen other countries in Asia. -.-;;
I'm glad I'm finally able to access to PPT. It had been showing "The page cannot be displayed" for hours. Though I still can't access to neopets. Even with PPT working, it's horribly laggy. *Sigh*

Though it's a horrible quake there. 7.1 major earthquake.
I guess I'll just pray it gets all better...for me AND everyone else, especially those in Taiwan. :(

Tell that to my ISP... my net goes down daily for about 10 minutes at 1:30pm every day.

Bloody annoying, as I get up at 12pm XD

Gone, forever.

Earthquake??!! All my relatives live there...I didn't know there was an earthquake...

Hmm, could this cause another tsunami?

Well, I'm thankful that PPT Forums isn't (aren't?) stationed in Taiwan. :)

I thought the government internet blockers disrupted the internet service in Asia.

Not exactly. Taiwan is a bit more lenient than mainland China.

Internet is carried through Submarine cables in the sea, in order for phone lines and internet services to reach other contients. So, since it was a undersea earthquake (as I understand) : it wouldn't be surprising if the earthquake broke the cable.

Hong Kong was affected too, but I didn't feel it (because I was tad too absorbed into the TV >_>). My mum's plant felt it, my mum felt it and my brother felt it.

But argh. I couldn't access most .com sites, including ppt, and couldn't use msn (refuses to let me log in). And sites are "working" now, but very, very, very slow. And still, sometimes refuses to load.

Ah, man, that sucks.........

Luckily I think we weren't affected.

EDIT: It seems that we were affected after all. Internet was fine.

Wow, the effects of that earthquake reached all the way to Hokkaido? But I might just be shocked because living in Chicago doesn't give me the opportunity to experience many earthquakes.
