Wasn't hard, but same time to actually get a good team, you'd have to put a lot of effort into it - certainly more than a few days
It still wasn't that hard. You catch them at a low level, train their EVs, then get them to 100. More monotonous, if anything. Then teach them moves from those TMs laying around. Meh, too many people use legendaries. Boring. I'd rather use Pokémon that interest me.
I've tried playing Netbattle before, but I have a fear of people on the internet, and was scared, so left. It was quite sad, actually. The UU metagame interests me way more. It's so much more versatile compared to everyday combinations like skarmbliss. I remember having... a Lanturn and Ursaring. I think.

Not I am not evil, it is just my username there is Dark_Combusken.
And you have just proved my point that about werewolf players using my username against me to gang up on me.
The name Dark_Combusken is because I when I made my account on the Serebii forums I thought about a Combusken that is a shadow pokemon (Since shadow pokemon are also called dark pokemon) and that is how I came with Dark_Combusken.

You don't really need to worry about types in this...only if you're battling someone with much more powerful Pokemon (Elite Four...well, Elite Eight in this case).
Speaking of which, I beat them with a team of level 75-80s. And seeing Will and Karen made me go 'OMG!' because I completely forgot they existed, and eventually encouraged me to play Crystal again.

Speaking of you and the Elite Eight, I Just beat a computer controlled version of your team as well as also beating Clair, Wallace and Gary.
As for the Elite Eight I will be taking them on tomorrow.

I just created an account, an if it wasn't for Celebrity Big Brother I;d be playing the game right now. I've already got a main team that I'm mainly happy with. They are:
Mudkip: Water & Ground is a brilliant bonus.
Ponyta: Fire pokemon for all the powerful moves
Phanphy: Not happy with it, hope to replace it with a flying type (hopefully a Skarmoury. Where do you find them?)
Ralts: Great psychic pokemon that has good evolutions
Mr. Mime: Another excellent psychic pokemon. Probably one of the most underrated pokemon of all time.
Treecko: Grass type to cover all the bases (Water, fire & grass).

I've been mostly collecting so my levels haven't gone up very much, but so far...
Vaporeon - Lvl 28
Manectric - Lvl 40(<- Actually a great electric pokemon on this game. You'll have to get past the pitiful Electrike first, though, which has only one terrible electric move)
Espeon - Lvl 18
Ninetails - Lvl 27(<- Fire Spin is actually strong. Was my strongest attack for a while)

To check move power, just look through the 'buy moves' section of the game. Fire spin the is strongest fire attack, I think. Maybe. :p
