NP vanishing/appearing from nowhere

I just got 5500NP while doing nothing, and some people have reported having -6000 or more out of nowhere. A few claim to have over 50k in extra points. Is something going on? o_o

Edit: If you gained NP, be careful about spending it. The BDC is in a spazz about extra millions showing up, and nobody wants to get in trouble from glitch abuse

Its just weird, I had 3-4k this morning and just now have -356.

My np just dropped to -4551 at some point in the last hour.

I collected my food club winnings at 4 then went to the Snowager just now, and that's about it for today. Database problems, then?

I tried making a new post about this 15 mins ago but my pc crashed

I was playing scorchy slots and went from 13K to 31K o_O

....
Do I leave it and hope TNT remove it when they realize?

Im just going to let the extra NP sit and not do any item moving or buying until it seems safe. Id rather not get caught in any other glitches.

Well it seems they sorted it out mines gone back down to 13K

I started this morning with about 30k. I sold some stocks for 60k, won 5k from a scratchcard, 10k from food club. and maybe some other stuff I can't recall. Now, I didn't really pay much attention to my np total after selling my stocks, but I had about 135k when I was browsing the trading post. When I went to sell a few more stocks to bid on an item, I suddenly went down to 87k.

OMG I just lost about 10K out of nowhere. I was playing a game, I had a little over 24K out, when I sent my score, I had 14K!! I freaked out and thought I had been CG'd or something, so I changed my password right away.

I came here cuz I was scared and had no idea what was going on. I'm so glad I'm not the only one! I'm glad it was only 10K.... and my bank account and all other stuff seems untouched. Losing 10K is not good, but it could have been a lot worse.

I hope they fix this soon. *decides not to touch ANYTHING on neo for the rest of the day*

Yeah, mine got fixed too. Other people are getting glitched all over again though

Definitely not a good time to go on a Neo shopping spree or something.

Tell me about it. I was about to go shopping with 50K when another 49K popped up in my account. Then after other people started going back down (or up) to normal, I got another 51K...-headdesk-

Wow, I just checked the BD chats. One guy had 5 million nps just show up in his nps on hand. This has to be related to the glitches that several of us have been experiencing since late Friday night. Myself and a few others have reported lost nps when taking money out in our shop tills and banks. I lost a million in nps. Another person lost 300K in nps. You can read about these glitches here:

Gosh, I hope they get this fixed soon. And give us back the nps we lost. My suggestion to everyone is write Neopets to complain about this. The more complaints it gets, the better the chance that they will do something to fix it and to reimburse us for our losses.

I haven't been on Neopets at all today except to do dailies... when I finished up, I had 10k on hand... I try to always leave it like that.
I just logged on and have 3,975...

My user-name starts with a p! I hope they're not trying to fix things and gypping other people accidentally in their attempts...

If it keeps being a problem, they may have to do a major database-reset thing, where they haul out the backed up version. So, any money you make or items you sell, would be gone. That has happened at least once that I know of.

So, I'd suggest basically staying off the site except perhaps to play games for fun (not for scores or NP, certainly), because anything you do could end up undone if they have to restore the servers from a backup.
