have any of you guys ever seen a cracker gallery? the thought popped into my head a couple of minutes ago.. and, if the prices on neoitems are right, it's a relatively inexpensive gallery, too.
good idea? horrible idea? anything? =]

Ooh! ooh! me!
I admit, the background is crap.. but i'm really uh.. crappy at coding, so I chose one that was pre-coded.
I really don't know how to make it look nice, so if anyone has some easy step by step instructions to help me out, that'd be fabulous!

does anybody know of any items that have cracker in the description?
..or any way for me to discover that, short of looking at every single item on neoitems? =]

Freddy, you have a great item count! You also have some very nice/valuable items.
You ranked your items, though personally I would put the good stuff at the top. Now you have the collectable cards at the top and they're not the nicest items of your gallery. The items in the top are the first items people will look at and alot of the time they won't even scroll down to look at all the other items you've got...
You also have a layout, but maybe put the items in a table? The background is a bit busy, and it does distract the attention from the items. A table would put the focus more on the items themself.
I see you also need the Bony Grarrl Club. Isn't that a super expensive battledome/avater item? How much do they go for? That item alone is probably more expensive then all the item of my gallery theme.
Yeah I agree - its been a very expensive venture so far. I do not really know html that well, its been years and years since i was in school and took a class on it, so i will have to do some research on how to do a table in there.
The bony club is just stupidly expensive, it will take forever to get.

If you go to
this page on neoitems, there's an option to search for words in the description, on the left there (under item name). That might help, I think? (or did I misunderstand you?

)

So far only the gingerbread/main part of my gallery is 'finished'. (I'm still on the lookout for things like the Wintery Petpet Shop Stamp which feature gingerbread but don't have 'ginger' or 'jinjah' in their name/description.)
My Gingerbread Gallery
I'm envious of your layout, fructy. I like sigh_driven's and hammy1142mek's color combos, and wiccan_wolf's is interesting in that I've never really paid attention to the lutari stuff.

Well, after giving it some thought, I've finally decided to start my Neopian Cultural Reference Gallery. (For an explanation of what I mean by that,
here's my first thread on it. ) It is nowhere NEAR ready for feedback of any kind; there's only a few cheap items and no layout at all.
I just wanted to say I'm accepting donations in my shop now, if you like the idea behind this gallery and would like to see more

Plum Chia Eraser, Paper Prince Crown, Paper Jesters Crown, Purple and Gold Paper Crown, Miniature Dice, Hubrid Nox Stamp, Springy Green Chia Toy, Orange Kacheek Figure, Logo Playing Cards, Colourful Dice, Cheese Plate Slushie.
Thats all the items with cracker in the description and not in the name.

I have a Kau Gallery and a Kau Fact Petpage, both entered in for their respective spotlights =D
I present: The MOOseum
http://www.neopets.com/gallery/index.phtml?gu=xylops
and the corresponding Petpage:
http://www.neopets.com/~Lupinleeius
I got a reply from the Site Spotlight Judges saying that my page has made a good impression. Has anyone had any experience with this? Like, did you eventually win or anything? ^^
