Magax Destroyer and Dubloon Distaster. What do you think of them?

I personally liked the old version of Dubloon Distaster better. It had a better pay out, a faster ship and less sensitive mines. I didn't really like Magax Destroyer to begin with, so I didn't really notice too much of a difference.

Dubloon Disaster was a little slow, but it seems like it's going to be WAY easier to earn NP with the new scoring. I like it.

I didn't like the old version of Magax and I don't like the new one either.

Ahh! They're changing Dubloon Disaster?! One of my favorite games as-is, and I haven't like a redone game yet... Ah well, hopefully it turns out well...

I love original version I did like Volcano Run II, but I hated it at first.

Well, at least it's consistent.

I'm terrible at the current games.

I'm also terrible at the beta versions.

Same goes for me. I seem to be slightly worse at the new dubloon disaster, but slightly better at the new Magax.

Not that it matters because I'm not good enough to get the avatars in either of the games.

Does anybody know how long games are normally beta tested?

I wish they didn't have to change Dubloon Disaster. The graphics were fine and it was much faster, no matter how many 2 dubloon coins I got.

Now that I can play it, Dubloon Disaster doesnt seem much different than the old one, except for the scoring. It seems easier if anything, but I admit I rarely played the old version to be sure. I was hopeless at the old one, but I managed the new avatar score of 2500+ really quickly on the new. It ran really slow at first, but once I disabled the water graphics, I was zooming.

Maybe the new Magax game will be easier too Im terrible at that game.

Does anybody have the links to these two games? I'd like to try them.

I could never get past 600 in the old game. I just hope your good luck with the game applies to me, too.

EDIT: Ok, first try I got half the required points. Maybe this won't be too bad after all.

I like the new Dubloon Disaster. I had so much trouble scoring 50 points on the original for the Games Master Challenge, but with this version it's a piece of cake. I still stink at it though.

Agreed. The new one is slightly better, although I still suck.

Anyone else noticed a bug in it though? A few times when I was playing, I ran into a mine - but instead went right over it instead of exploding o.O

No idea how to replicate that bug, but I sent in a bug report just in case.

Hmm. To my mind the new Dubloon Disaster plays pretty much like the old one, except that with the new NP ratio I think it's probably harder to earn NP than with the old one, new scoring system aside. I could be wrong, though, I never played the old one for NP.
