American Idol 6

#1 Post by Hil »

So, it's starting on Tuesday.

Anyone else super excited?

Supposedly there is a 'twist' this season. I know there's a songwriting competition, but maybe there's something else too?

Yay for auditions! They are always entertaining.

i love the show. I love the singers, although i was "never going to watch it again" when Chris lost last year, that lasted half an hour. But i do think its sort of strange that Paula's already going on tv drunk...

I never liked to watch the first rounds cause thats just about picking on people.

I probably won't watch it this year cause Simon's a meanie turd, Paula acts like shes up in the air or something, and dawg wasn't cute past.. well it never was.

I know how you feel. I was totally ticked when Chris lost and Taylor (ugh) won. I'm only going to get to watch on Tuesday nights though :(

Semi-spoiler from USAtoday:

American Idol's quest for the Holy Grail of musical theme nights -- Beatles songs -- appears to be a success, according to Bill Keveney's scoop. The publisher and the Idol folks haven't settled on what songs the show will be able to use yet, but they have the go-ahead to proceed with plans for a Beatles night. Idol producers are hoping for Paul McCartney or producer George Martin to serve as coaches, but that's admittedly premature.

Omg! I wanted to start the thread this year! D:

Anyways, I'm super excited, and will probably not miss an episode again this year. :) I hope a crooner wins. :D

Well, I've never watched a whole American Idol series (I watched most of 4 I believe), but I will definately tune in for the auditions. That's the sole reason I watch the series!

I'm watching it right now <3

Almost over though. I love the auditions, I hate it when people who are really bad insist to be on, it sends shivers down my spine and make me cringe X(

Usually I don't flinch, or cover my eyes and ears when I'm watching something. But, oh man, even when I had it on in the background and wasn't paying attention I found myself having to lodge my fingers in my ears, and when I was watching, I was personally embarassed by how people can make fools of themself like that, and be that deluded...

Won't go on for a few more hours, so everyone has had the chance to watch. :P

Seems like it's going to be more interesting tomorrow, though the sneak peek was sort of mean. >_>

It's on in 10 minute for me. :) With American Idol, and soon, House, Fox will totally dominate the Tuesday Prime-time time-slots. :P House alone earns about 16 million viewers (it got 17.8 for the last episode). American Idol got about 30 million viewers an episode last season. (Not sure if it's the average or the results show, though).

I hear he's done good on the charts though.. better that he lost so he could stay with his band, right?
