But I was told you couldn't
My inquiry, "After attacking a Pokemon on the thread, am I allowed to switch Pokemon as part of turn."
TOSO, "No, you cannot switch and attack in the same turn at all..."
So if attacking and switching can't be in the same turn with each other (except the exception), then switching means no attack, and attack means no switching, right? o_O

Wait, CW, did you attack with the new active pokemon? Because that was my intention in switching...when does switching a pokemon out actually take effect. I got the Turn update saying the new poke was active, so I assumed it only officially switched when I got the PM saying so. I'm confused again

You can't attack another player that turn if you're switching out Pokemon, hitting a gym leader is not part of your turn, though, as you don't send a PM to TOSO about it (as you can also attack a Gym Leader and also attack a player in the same turn). I assumed if you were going to switch out Pokemon, that you could attack a Gym Leader before switching, but are you sure you're allowed to attack with a Pokemon you're switching out?

I understood that you can only used the switched pokemon for whatever after the turn has ended... I could see it being abused otherwise (like Ciwey described, switching in a poke for a one hit KO...) I would have done more of this if I knew you could of.

Yeah, so would I... if I had another Pokemon worth attacking with. xD

This is correct. You can attack on the thread when switching (with the Pokemon being switched out), but not other people.

Anyways, I had a really late night last night, so this turn will end tonight.

Dang it, I would've at least tried to level my other pokemon too >_>
Why did you tell me I couldn't?

Don't worry... I think you're probably in the majority here. =/

Dracir uses Giga Drain on Lunatone. It's super effective! Lunatone takes 120 damage, and Dracir recovers 60 damage!
Lunatone hits back with Rock Throw! Dracir takes 40 damage (and is right back where he started, but +1 level)

Okamoto uses Metal claw on Lunatone. It's super effective! Lunatone takes 120 damage and is defeated!

Okamoto throws a Great Ball at Skarmory. 71 = MISS.

And... working on updates now.

BTW, the wild Pokemon have fled. (I do this to prevent a backlog of wild Pokemon when I release more).

EDIT: Wow, what an eventful turn. Ria has been eliminated, and was Wally of the Hometown Heroes.

Can we get an item update and player list on the first post? (though, I think you said you needed to be nudged a bit before you do it. xD)

Dang, my Pokeballs all would've popped open after 1 twitch in the game :P

*sigh*

Well there I go.. I was hanging on by a thread there... Magneton was killed the same turn I managed to use a Min Revive on Kirlia then Okamoto killed me (thanks for that btw *rolls eyes* :P )

Just wanted to say how fun its been.. and I can't wait to see which team emerges victorious (praying for the remainder of my own of course). All in all I didn't die as fast as I thought I would *giggles*

And for anyone that was wondering, by the end I had:

Kirlia, lvl 6, 150 hp. Swablu, lvl 6, 100 hp. Machop, lvl 6, 100 hp. And of course my beloved Magneton, lvl 8, 150 hp.

And Swablu and Machop were gone for like.. 10-20 turns there too.

So I reckon I didn't do too bad for my first one of these game-things ever. :P

I'd like to buy a Hyper Potion. If I can't, buy a Super Potion.

Sorry Ria, they said you had a bunch of Pokemon, and that Magneton was a big threat  Please don't hate me :P
