Pet, Pet-Pet, Pet-Pet-Pet Matching

For the Harry Potter characters I would more do petpets that match their character.

Eg. snake for wormtail
uhm owl for... padfoot ^^
a dog for sirius
and a rock that looks like a moon for lupin

I'm guessing you meant owl for james (who's prongs not padfoot?) I'll definitely go for a dog-petpet for sirius, but not sure about the rest yet. I see wormtail as more of an insect/crab/worm/rat

(snape seems more snake-like to me).. I think the moon idea would be pretty cool, if there was a petpet that looked like one!

not that keen on attaching pet rock to moony though.

For Lupin I'm tossing up between:

1. Yes I know, I said that I didn't want grey petpets, but I meant that I didn't want grey with silver

. I think these 2 match really well, and the petpet even fits in with how lonely and withdrawn he would have been during those many years without padfoot and prongs

I was also concerned that any grey suggestions would look TOO gloomy (which wasn't the look that I was after) however I think that in this case, it fits him. The calm, serious (and somewhat sad) figure also contrasts with the neopet which still looks youthfully-active, energetic and even a little fierce.

2. I also love this match because again, not only do the colours match, but I think they work personality wise. Doglefoxes (who like finding treats for their pets) are very loyal (like I imagine lupin) and i imagine, intelligent, which fits in with his studious personality. Even the fact that he's a rugged-looking mutant/werewolf hasn't taken away his charming personality.

I'm tossing up between these 2 pairings atm, but I'm still open to other suggestions.

For sirius I agree with you- the shadow lupe is probably a better match than the shadow gelert, but I originally turned it down because I didn't want it to be the same species as one of the others (moony). However, i should probably reconsider my choice as i'll probably have no option but to go for a xmas gelert for prongs eventually ie will probably end up with 2 of the same species either way.

So I adopted a Rainbow Hissi this morning and I need a little help getting her a petpet. Under 100K is preferred but if you think it's the best match ever go ahead and post it. I don't mind saving up if its worth it.

ok... matches for a rainbow hissi are coming

not many, i know... but i'm tired lol. ok so first i went with the snake theme...
then i thought "hey! what if a snake (which many people are afraid of) had a SPIDER as its petpet! (which many people are ALSO afraid of)
and as for the last one, the thought of a snake having a mouse as a petpet just cracked me up LOL
maybe someone else will come up with some more ideas ^^

Yeah i'll probably go with the 1st pairing, but mostly because I would prefer a doglefox (albeit a shadow one) on sirius and i'd rather not have 2 petpets of the same species. Besides the tyrannian probably fits him physically. And yeah, good point- i should probably have edited the post rather than do multiples ones :oops:

Also does anyone have any good suggestions for prongs/james? And also, do you prefer shadow lupe or shadow gelert for padfoot/sirius? At the moment the other two maruaders are:

neopets didn't do so great on the antlered/deer pets...
but here's all of em.

ugh, i say. UGH. christmas pets ALL need redraws -.-

and maybe... this is the only ixi i could find that might fit (other than christmas)

thought it actually looked kinda nice, and fit him.

and for petpets for wormtail...

I tried to go with your guidelines... and a few are things that looked like leeches to me, such as the charnie, or that i felt really matched his personality. (btw, i totally think you should name his petpet scabbers

)

I quite like the ghost ixi (even though it does look a little girly), but i'll still leave prongs till last. I agree with your opinion on the xmas pets *shudders*. Hope they redraw them, or even better, redesign at least some of the ixis.... I like some of your matches for wormtail (as you really seem to have brought out the dirty/disgusting/vermin part of his personality) but i'd still prefer both a colour and personality match if possible (sorry if i'm being too difficult lol

I've decided on making padfoot and prongs shadow and xmas gelerts respectively. I just love the idea of them being brothers (and hence the same species) spiritually

. I toyed with sigh_driven's great idea of making james a ghost ixi, but I thought its hooves/body looked a little too feminine, and I wanted a more cheerful/playful looking pet. Does anyone have any petpet suggestions (and petpetpet ones if possible) for Prongs? Thanks in advance
