I remember the old one. The new one isn't an improvement, for reasons I can't quite put my finger on. I guess I'm just not willing to accept that Darigan Kacheek as a finished color; it looks more like a sketch idea that one would use when conceptualizing a Darigan Kacheek (I almost typed Mutant and was tempted to leave it alone :P ).

I agree - I don't like the new Darigan Kacheek but I'm not so sure why. I agree with everyone's opinion that it looks like a Tyrannian pet and all that, but I don't think that's what's bothering me. Something else is bothering me about that pet...the way it was drawn maybe? Hrm...can't put my finger on it at all.

I think it's the colors and the outlining...*shrug*

No explantion beyond the fact that it's atrocious is necessary. It's not just the craptastic stereotypical design, but the execution is inexcusable for people who get paid cash money to draw. At least the first one was laughably hideous. This just makes me want to cry. I was actually hoping that I'd finally have a kacheek color worthy of painting my kacheek with once she's done labbing, but with this adding insult to injury along with the lack of royal, it looks I should just give up entirely.

I've come to think that the new kacheek looks "flat." The shading makes it look like it came out of some Nickelodeon cartoon (and no offense meant by that, I love my 'toons, but it's totally opposite of normal Neopets style).

I didn't like the old darigan kacheek, but I definitely liked it better than this one, as angisfab said, it looks too flat.

Agreed. The outlines are also too thick, and the contrast is not good, so that you can't tell where one section ends and the next one begins.

I think I could make a better darigan kacheek than that... and I liked the old one better.

but, since I think kacheeks are just a waste of bandwith anyways, I don't think my opinion counts for much. That and chias. little lumps of things with weird protrusions.... not real pets.

my battle pet is a kacheek! does YOUR battle pet have a full species healer? hmmm?
don't put down pets that others might like, just say that you don't particularly care for them.

I'm sorry the kacheek sucks. I really am, especially since there's absolutely no reason that they should. It'd be nice if they didn't have Powerpuff Girl appendages, legs, and heads that weren't dangerously overinflated, with what I do not know. Kacheeks can be fantastic, which is why I was hoping that we'd get Royal and finally have a fix to all the problems that weren't addressed in their revamp.

Haha my battler's a Kacheek too! A spunky little striped number, she is.

I was hoping for Royal Kacheeks too! I was so upset when I heard they weren't doing that. But then again, I'm pretty much obsessed with the little buggers.

The Darigan Kacheek is not anywhere as near as good as the Techo or Hissi... those are AWESOME!

But I don't hate the way it looks either. Of course, I don't have a Kacheek, so I'm not as invested.

No, but neither does the kacheek. ;) It's a 33% healer, or a possible 66%(ish) if you use it at the exact right time. It's not like a jade scorchstone -- you can't use it when you have 10 hit points left and heal back your 500 or whatever. Anyway, I have a mutant gelert. 50% heal, and the pet's a hell of a lot better looking. ;) But that's my opinion and I don't care one bit if people hate my pet. Try not to take peoples' opinions on colors and species so personally.

Darigan kacheek better be a joke, is all I can say. Horrible.

50% healer all the time is far better than the Kacheek's set up in my opinion. When I'm low on points, I don't want to get a meager 33% heal, I want half my hit points back.

That said, I still love Jelly Kacheeks. They're the only one I can stand (thank Avo they didn't change it!)

actually...
33% of Max HP when you have 33% or less of your Max HP
Heal Full when you're over 33%
not 66% :battar:

i'm pretty ok with that.
and i wasn't over reacting... i was simply saying that you should say something like "i dislike kacheeks" as opposed to "kacheeks are a waste of bandwidth"
and i love mutant gelerts, i think they are adorable. :P (and would kill to own one)

No offence...but...those Darigan Kacheeks are the worse Darigan pet in the neo history! o_0 I'm never a fan of kacheeks...but with this Darigan colour I may detest them more! Sigh...I'd rather they not release any new pet colours if all are going to be like that...
However, a quick note, I enjoyed the Royal Elephantes. Hehe.
I agree, more darigans like the nice Darigan Aisha and the Darigan Kougra should be drawn. Listen up, TNT! ^_^
