Same here on my end, my sister won't click them, but I still do. I know she'd kill me if I put her account in danger. But I haven't been warned or frozen yet still.

I'm not sure if someone posted this up before, but I found this in the Editorial section of the Neopian Times #273

Ok. There are people on the boards saying that TNT told them that sponsor links are no longer allowed to make NP. There are other people saying that Petpages linking to the sponsor links aren't allowed but that an offsite page, or having the links bookmarked would be OK. Still other people say that the sponsor links are now a "glitch" if you manage to get the NP from them... and abusing a glitch is freezable. So, what's the deal here? Are sponsor links taboo now? Are they OK as long as you don't have a Petpage linking to them? Can I still visit all the sponsor pages and get my free NP without getting frozen? And, if the links aren't viable and we aren't supposed to visit them, why do they still give out NP?
Erm, any sponsor link that you click on in a sponsor game or activity is valid. You will still get the Neopoints and you won't be frozen for clicking on them (we are providing the links, after all). There was, however, a large number of Petpages that were hoarding old sponsor links that we'd removed and linking to them even though they were no longer valid. As such, we've had to disable the posting of these links. You will need to visit the areas yourself and click on the links if you want the rewards.

Sooooo.. I'm not sure if the "sponser links" are the same as clickables... butttt correct me if I'm wrong. Because I've clicked like 5 links yesterday before finding out that it might be a freezable offense... 8|

missnk, yes we've gone over that again and again. ;)
Any link that you get to from the Neopets site, ie on a game or some other promotion is of course legitimate and clicking on it will not get you frozen.

As for clicking directly on a possess_click link, the ones that were taken off petpages and that you can still find on off-site pages, where you don't go to a neopets game or promotion but directly to the sponsor's site, those are what TNT doesn't want us clicking on. HOWEVER, we really have no clue if they will freeze people for that, yet.

moreau and marbles, I don't think they'd freeze everyone using the same computer, just for the transgressions of one person. As long as they can tell that the accounts belong to separate people. I can't be 100% sure of that though.

Just posting an update:
I'm still able to click on the links and get NP, but they are getting slow again at paying out. Seems they were paying out almost immediately after so many people stopped using the links from petpages. I assume more people are using the links again. Seems that it takes a couple hours for them all to process now.

I've been clicking on them and getting paid within 20 minutes. Not sure what that means but until I see an actual rule against it and/or the links are disabled, I'll be clicking. They're getting paid it, I should get paid for it.

In a moment of weakness, I clicked on the links yesterday. I decided I wanted an Ona, but they are way too expensive... and noticed that today, I still never got any NP from it. (Kinda glad - felt slimy afterwards... but oh well.)

Anyone else noticing that there isn't a payout to clicking the links?

I noticed that the pay out is really slow now, and it seems that a little less than half the links are actually paying out now. I get about 10k now for the past 3 days. I'm off to try for today's run and see if I get anything. TNT may have been working on disabling the payouts on them.

Matrinka, I noticed that about a week ago. I'd obviously stopped clicking any links when it first hit the fan and all the petpages, etc. were cleared. But I clicked a link from the site on the proper page, went to the sponsor site where I know I got np before and ... nothing. Haven't seen a single np. *shrug* So I just gave up on the whole idea. I'll stick to games and the occasional rs or snipe.

Obviously, a large number of clickes for just the top section of sponsor links (Aladdin - Zatch-Bell) no longer work. Not sure which ones though. I now get a total of 7,200 for clicking them all.
