I'm not a real big fan of Kacheeks so I dont say much there. And I'm also not a fan of the usuls. I cant stand them, and thy just look creepy. But that one....that one is adorable. The only other usul image I like, is the grey one. But that one comes in a close second.

actually...
33% of Max HP when you have 33% or less of your Max HP
Heal Full when you're over 33%
not 66% :battar:

Sweetie, what's 100%-33%? ;) See, you have to heal at over 33% to get the "full" heal with kacheek, so that does make it a max 2/3 (67ish%) healer. It's explained right here; look at VermontHermit's rating. Also, if I use my gelert healer when I have 50% of my HP left, it heals me back to full, but that doesn't make it a full healer. ;)

Well, then the highest you can get is 67% of your total health. It's ALL of the health that you have lost, but honestly it's only 67% of all the health you have. You're both right.

[i typed this without seeing what cran wrote directly above... but i'm leaving it in anyway]

And incidentally I am completely indifferent to the battledome too, so I couldn't care less what the stats are for different species' healing, attacks, etc.

i was simply saying that you should say something like "i dislike kacheeks" as opposed to "kacheeks are a waste of bandwidth"

well, i could have taken the time to add "in my opinion" in front of my statement, but since I am the one writing, it's a given that I am stating my opinion rather than that of someone else. It's like saying "cauliflower tastes bad" as opposed to "cauliflower tastes bad to me"....

No offense was intended to kacheek (or chia) lovers... but I also don't retract my opinion, either. i still think they're awful.

Any healer will heal you to full if you use it at the right time. If you have 500 hit points and a Greater Healing Scroll (which heals 50), and you use that GHS when you have 450 hit points left, it'll heal you to full -- but that in no way makes it a "full healer." That term is reserved for the Leaded Elemental Vial or Jade Scorchstone or one of the one-use healers that can heal all of your hit points back no matter when you use it. Kacheek Life Potion is a 1/3 healer, or a maximum 2/3 healer if you use it at the exact right time. Gelert Healing Remedy and Elephante Unguent and a few others are 50% healers.

So, how about that Darigan kacheek? Hideous, huh? ;)

That usul looks as if it is pressing its face against a glass door and making faces at me. Not a good thing. Whoever has been drawing the darigan pets lately needs a good smack in the head.

The styles are so vastly different, at this point I wouldn't be surprised if it was more than one person. I'm guessing a handful.

^ Well then they all need good smacks in the head! :P

Although I hate usuls, and I definitely don't like that darigan usul, I think it is much better drawn than the darigan kacheek. It has lots of little details and shading, and the wings are great. It's just the cheery facial expression and the fact that I don't like usuls in general that puts me off from it.

That's what I mean by the different styles. Sure, they are just different versions of "bad," but the detailed Usul is better than the overly cartoony Kacheek.

They do all need a few smacks in the head. They at least need their artists to work in similar (and better!) styles when it comes to actual Neopets and pet poses! I mean, Walt Disney made sure all his Disney characters looked pretty much the same, and there were many many people who worked on his characters.

It's too..... furry. It looks fluffy rather than like it has shaggy fur. Seriously - if you were to pet it it would be warm and well, fluffy... not what we need from a daraigan pet.

Plus it would probably start purring.

Also: is that a bow I spot around the tail? I get that it's still an Usul technically (eugh) but no self respecting minion of evil would wear a bow... unless it was being ironic, and I don't think the usul is capable of irony.

/wandering ramble about the daraigan usul

Edit: although the veins on the wings are AWESOME.

Yeah- hear, hear!

At least it should be a shredded bow.
And I think the usul looks too giggly ditzy happy, instead of maniacally evilly happy.
