My sales often don't appear in Shop Wizard pages with other users whose name starts with the same letter. I've even done multiple shop wizard calls in short succession and gotten different results from the same letters group. Any idea what's going on, and if there's any way to stimulate ? I played Neopets a lot a year ago, and it was pretty reliable then.

Just to answer my own post, I've discovered what I believe is the cause. According to another site, Neopets is detecting when someone is using the Greasemonkey extension for Firefox, and not showing the first five elements on the Shop Wiz list if so.

I have heard that same information. Though I don't know firsthand. I don't have the Greasemonkey extension, so it isn't a problem for me. I have a suggestion though. Why not use another browser to play Neopets?

Really? I have that extension, but I don't use it on Neopets. Does anyone know if that makes any difference?

This may explain why my items that appear to be cheapest on the site to me keep not selling, though.

Pudding, according to members on another Neo fansite, TNT is doing this to those using Firefox that have the Greasemonkey extension. The situation that involved Greasemonkey started about a week ago. At first, you couldn't access the shop wiz at all if you had the GM extension. According to a TNT programmer who posted on the Premium chats, it was done, basically, because they had determined that someone could use Greasemonkey to run a bad script, something that could affect security. I am not going to rehash anything that was said as to why TNT decided to do this. There was a thread on this topic (a heated debate is more like it) which you can find here: http://www.pinkpt.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=31493&start=105. And if you'd like my thoughts about this matter, I would be happy to share them with you via a PM.

I believe the Greasemonkey detection techniques Neopets must be using will work even if you aren't running a script on that particular page, so it's a real PITA. I'm no expert on the subject, though.

I heard about the Neopets/GM issue from a website that had fairly extensive GM scripting that they had to disable, and which they did mention seemed to have the potential to do cheats of some sort. (Not that their goal was to cheat, just that it seemed like it might be possible.)
