Wowzer that's really scary. Have you talked to them about it? Maybe there's a logical explanation.

lol, Kym, that cat's been dead for, hhhhmmm, quite a while I guess. That happened when I was a kid. Back when the dinosaurs ruled the earth. Or at least around the time that the Native Americans discovered corn.

I did ask my sister-in-law once. They found her in the backyard so there's no clue as to whether or not she had been abused. My guess is yes. They named her Amphetamine Annie because she was about an anxious a cat as you could get. Someone would spook her and she would jump 6 feet straight up in the air and land on the top of the fridge. I think it had something to do with the fact that she was Siamese, which can be quite a high-strung breed. I did learn to respect her. And to never, ever get into a staring contest with her. Cause she would win, hands down, every time.

I feel bad because I laughed. It was funny. But still, poor, poor cat
(even though I do sometimes turn on the water when my cat's crawling around in the sink...)

I laughed but I felt horrible for the poor cat. I can't imagine what someone would be thinking when they invented that.

Well, it is called money. There are so many pet owners out there who indulge and pamper their pets like they were actual children. And no offense to any of you who do. I am a little guilty myself, I suppose. My guess is that some brainiac said, hhhmmm, bet some of these pet owners are so dumb that they think Ms. Kitty would like to bathe, just like their human owner. And decide to charge them $x a pop to get their kitty as clean as they are. Hey, I have heard it all. Trust me. Used to work with a women who euthanized her cat--had her for years--loved her--talked like the cat was a kid--one day, she got tired of cleaning the white cat hair off the brown couch. *shakes head* Ummm, why not just get a white couch, me thinks???? It was a hasty decision and the second she did it, she regretted it. Probably just like the idiot owner of this cat in the video. As soon as they saw the horror on the cat's face, they probably said what the smurf have I done? One would hope anyway. Still doesn't save them from the cat appearing at 3 am (devil inside) and smothering them by sitting on the owner's sleeping mouth and nose. Kitty revenge.

I don't see the problem. That looks like the best shower ever! The cat does nothing all day but eat food, scratch up furniture, and play with toys, all on his owner's dime. Now his owner wants to give him the best shower he'll ever have, and he acts like that? If it were me, I would have a new cat by now.

I don't know about anyone else, but that video was extremely painful to watch. It almost sent me to tears. Seeing any animal is distress like that really does set me off. Whoever invented that needs a good kick up the smurf.

I had a cat once who was fascinated by water. Anytime we'd flush the toilet, he'd run into the bathroom and watch the water swirl down. Whenever I would take a bath, he'd sit on the edge of the tub and watch the water. I guess he was trying to figure out just why the heck I was in there. On a few occasions, he even was brave enough to dip his paws into the water. I often wondered if he was this way was because he had gotten him so young. His mother died shortly after his birth and so we bottle fed the kittens. Maybe he didn't get the chance to have this fear of water imprinted into his brain. He was quite a cat. Escaped from an open window once (in the heart of the city of Chicago) and one month later at 2 am, he was at our backdoor meowing as loudly as he could--not a scratch on him. And he "talked" to us for the next two hours, nonstop, as if he was telling us all that had happened to him on his adventure. Out of all the cats I've had in my life, he was my favorite.
