He was really good in the Super Bowl halftime show, so I'll go with Prince. He's a weird guy, though.

The Fray, because even though Prince's performance during the Super Bowl Halftime Show was pretty good, I don't like his music.

Prince, based on the fact I can name many of his songs off the top of my head, while I didn't realize the Fray say that save a life song until I read down the thread. And that song annoys me.

Prince... is terrible.

I don't care what anyone says, he does NOT have a good voice.

I turn him off every time he comes on the radio (and yes, he's overrated)

Neopet_Online - One song? They had another bigger hit before that. And I doubt Grey's Anatomy had much to do with it (logically, most people don't watch it or like it)

The Fray. I don't really listen to Prince ever.

Prince is too ...awkward?
So, The Fray it is.

Unfortunately, many people do watch it. I think it gets like 16 million or so viewers per week in the U.S.

Anyways, I just don't care about Prince or his music.

I'm addicted to "How To Save a Life" though.

Yeah, but that's only 16 million out of what, about 300 million people in the US alone?

Yeah, but that's still a lot. It only takes a million albums to go platinum, and 16 million is a LOT. Not to mention, they talk to their friends and stuff.

However, Prince has a) longevity and b) talent. From what I've heard, the Fray have neither of those, so Prince it is.

It's also important to note that How to Save a Life had been out for awhile, then it was used for Grey's Anatomy and they became a hit.

:o I can't believe Prince is ahead! He's a blasphemy to music and men in general. I have no idea who the Fray are, but they get my vote simply because Prince is the least talented "musician" out there.

True, but it was popular enough before it was even released to make the Weekly Hot 100 while "Over my Head" was still big (which means it already had a hefty fanbase, even before it was ever played on the radio). The single was only released right after that because of it's popularity, which ended up dying down shortly after it was released (though I blame a complete lack of air time for that, it was never played on any radio station around here until after it was featured on GA. I'm sure most other places were like that too, bar the bigger and more popular cities of the country.)

Are you fo-rizzle?!?!?!? Just because someone didn't come out recently and has raps about rape and 'smurf', or has sappy emo lyrics make them lesser talented, Prince has been out for ages and he's more talented than half of the people out there right now. And blasphemy to men? Get real. I don't find him a blasphemy to my gender.

Actually to tell you the truth, I didn't really care for 'Over My Head' his voice sounds so whiney on that song, but yea it was 'big', but still Grey's had a LOT to do with their success.
