SSBB = Super Smash Brothers Brawl
To all of those interested in joining, there are no sign ups. You can just start playing right off the bat. If you need additional help, I am here most of the time and more than willing to try to help as much as possible.

Story as of now:

A large roar, foul stench and a faint shuffle are heard from below the battlefield. A trapdoor opens up. A tiny Tonberry waddles out followed by a large Malboro.

Colonel: No!
Ridley and the Imperial Colonel are playing Pictionary. There is a mess on the board where the Colonel was drawing.
Colonel: Come on! It is simple.
Ridley: Uh...
Sephiroth drops from above with his sword drawn. He runs it through the board.
Sephiroth: What do you think you are doing?
Colonel: Just a little game to pass the time.
Ridley: Yeah. Just something to do until we start bringing in the victories.
Sephiroth: Deoxys is nearly defeated, and our general is on the bench.
Ridley: At least Marth is fighting well.
Sephiroth: One minor conciliation.
Sephiroth retrieve his sword and storms away.
Sephiroth: And that was a kitty!

0500/1700 Rule: Regardless of when the last update occurred, you may make actions after 5AM/PM your time zone. There is no need to wait for an update to make an action, but it is recommended. Any actions that break this rule will not count as a legal action and will be promptly (eventually) pointed out. If you miss one of the posting periods, you will not get an extra move. I will allow posts +5 minutes in so you don’t have to rush your action.

Specials follow the same format where appropriate.

Specials and weapons should be used before regular attacks can be used.

Special users can defeat one 1 or 2 HP NPC of their choice in addition to their special use (meaning without targeting the NPC with the special).

Super Smash Attacks (SSA): SSA actions are powerful, character-specific moves with special effects. They can only be activated two ways and usually involve the character being removed from the game (see below) for a short time. The SSA use counter does not reset until all characters have used their SSA. To activate: either use a Smash Emblem or buy it with some points. They may not be ready at the start of the game, but I’ll finish them as soon as possible.

Removed from the Game (RFG): Unlike in Magic: The Gathering, this is not a permanent effect. Characters removed from the game cannot attack or heal but cannot be targeted. They return to play after a set amount of rounds. At least three characters will remain in play at all times.

Special Character - Gogo: Due to Gogo’s unique nature, I will post his information every round. If there are any questions, PM me, and I will willingly help.
Gogo cannot attack or heal. He is active every round. He has only one special which he uses every round.
Special: Mime: *Gogo copies the last action done (the post above this use). *Gogo’s user may choose new targets. *If a special was used, Gogo receives -3 damage in addition to the special’s effects. *Cannot mime SSAs or actions in the GM’s posts. *Cannot be the first action of the round. *If Gogo is not used, he automatically heals for +1 HP each round, but he starts with 30 HP at the beginning of the game. *He counts as male for gender related contests.

Castlevania: +30 - Vampire Slayer - Characters can automatically defeat two NPCs with 1, 2, or 3 HP or defeat one 4 or 5 HP NPC in addition any other actions this round
Deep Space 9ers: +50 - Reflective Shields - All attacks directed at the members are reflected back to the attackers. Members can still attack
Dream Land: +20 - Skill Copy - Members may use any special belonging to any [Faction] member. (Check character guide or with the GM for specials)
Hyrule: +90 points - Magic Sack - Members may use any weapon unlimited times (weapon changes user after each use unless user can do unlimited attacks) (Check item guide or with the GM for items)
Independent: +0 - None (duh, they have no team)
Defeated - Kongo Jungle: +20 - Monkey Friends - When a member is attacked, the attacker receives a -1 damage counterattack for every -2 damage dealt to member (counterattack is rounded down)
Mushroom Kingdom: +50 - Mega Mushroom - All members deal double damage for the rest of the round, but cannot use weapons. Negative side effects are doubled for members
Pokémon: +50 - Pokeball - A random, unused Pokeball is activated. Members are immune to the effects
Sephiroth: +50 - Summon Sephiroth - Either: a Guard Armor or Dark Trooper appear; or Sephiroth appears for the round and deals up to -20 damage distributed among the remaining characters.
Sonic: +60 - Hyper Sonic Speed - Members cannot be attacked for the rest of the round. Members may still attack.
Square Enix: +160 points - Job Change - Members may use any Dressphere that is currently not being used (Check Dressphere guide or with the GM for Dresspheres). Counts as a weapon action
Versus: +70 - Versus: Adrenaline Rush - Members may make unlimited actions. Special users may use their special twice (any given player may only use the special once)

3: Today’s subject: Guion Bluford. Truly a space case. Colonel Bluford earn three degrees from BS to PhD all in aerospace engineering, the latter two from the US Air Force. He earned is wings in 1966 and flew over 100 missions over North Vietnam. He has gained over 5000 flight hours on seven different airframes, including the famed U-2. In 1979, he was recruited by NASA to become an astronaut. After all his years of training, he got a ride on the Orbiter Challenger on mission STS-8. As soon as the Orbiter breached the atmosphere, Col Bluford became the first African-American in space. Since that first flight, he served on three more STS missions, the last being STS-53, and has flown in two Orbiters, Challenger and Discovery. In 1986, he returned the Challenger Flag to Boy Scout Troop 514 due to his previous service as a Scout, having attained the honor of Eagle Scout. In 1997, Col Bluford was inducted into the International Space Hall of Fame.

The Tonberry waddles around and approaches Zero
Tonberry: Doink!
Zero is stabbed for -5 damage.

In Sephiroth’s lair. The colonel and Ridley are watching a Metroid in a jar.
Ridley: You know what these things remind me of?
Colonel: A Quarren without it’s body?
Ridley: No.
Colonel: An Illithid?
Ridley: No...
Sephiroth: A shut up and get back to work before I mount your head on my wall?
Ridley: N... Ah!
Ridley jumps back in surprise, but Sephiroth blasts him with a lightning spell anyway.
Colonel: We were just about to release them.
The colonel hits a button. A hatch over the Metroids’ chamber opens up, allowing three to fly out. The sound of a radio coming on is heard.
Sarge: Over radio. Red command. Come in, Red command.
Sephiroth: What the hell is Red command?
Church: Over radio. See. I told you this was Blue command.
Sephiroth: What is Blue command?
Caboose: Over radio. Maybe both sides joined together and this is... Purple command.
Sarge, Church: Over radio. Shut up, Caboose!
Sephiroth: Shut up, all of you! When I find who this is, I will feed your souls to Jenova!
Sephiroth turns off the radio and continues his storming away to brood.

On the field. The Metroids and Tonberry are standing off to the side, not doing anything. Reno is even herding the Characters away from the NPCs.
Sarge: Dang. I had a message of grave importance!
Caboose: You mean my Christmas list!
Church: No, you idiot! The creatures over there. They aren’t attacking.
Caboose: Then that means... something.
Church: Smooth genius. Now go stand in the corner.
Caboose: Okay!
Caboose runs off. In the stands, a red-haired man in heavy armor hops out onto the field. There are a few screams heard. Church looks over to see Caboose and the man by the NPCs.
BM, Church: Get down from there! You don’t know where they have been!
Caboose, Fighter: Aww, man! I never get to ride NPCs, or hobos, or nothing!

3: Today’s subject: Tiger Woods. Arguably one of the best athletes and golfers to ever walk any fairway. He started playing golf at age two, was in Golf Digest at age five, and won his first championship at age eight... a year younger than the lower age limit. Since then, he has been winning championship after championship. In 1996, Tiger moved up to professional ranks by joining the PGA Tour. Since then, Tiger has 12 major wins and a total of 55 PGA Tour wins. Off the golf course, Tiger participates in numerous charity events and has founded many youth programs. One of his bigger hobbies is nautical related activities, including a US$20M yacht. And thus relating him back to the gaming world that lives in this SSBB world, Tiger is also the cover man for EA Sports’ PGA Tour series. (Yet since he is a real person, we will never see a Tiger take on a Falcon or Snake or Fox :P)

SSBB = Super Smash Brothers Brawl
To all of those interested in joining, there are no sign ups. You can just start playing right off the bat. If you need additional help, I am here most of the time and more than willing to try to help as much as possible.

Story as of now:

Black Mage throws Prince at Sheik for -2 damage each. Joanna shoots Geno and makes him heal for +2 HP. Rikku blue mages Joanna (dealing -2 damage to Geno) to target Captain Falcon to punch Zelda for -3 damage. Finally, Gogo mimes Rikku and targets Joanna/Geno once more to control Beatrix to smack Alucard. [Wow that was fun!] The NPCs are now free to attack. To ring the point home, a mass of Heartless ooze out of the ground and swarm the field. Off to the side, Sarge watches on.
Sarge: Via con adios.
A Heartless hops on Sarge, but Sarge blows it away with his shotgun.

Colonel: Got any threes?
Ridley: Go fish.
The colonel draws a card.
Ridley: Got any threes?
Colonel: Hey! I just asked that!

The colonel presses a button, and a Dark Trooper comes to life. Ridley stands and roars. A dozen Space Pirates fly in with weapons drawn.
Sephiroth: What is going on here!
Colonel: He cheated.
Sephiroth: And ripping apart the base in a hail of laser fire is the solution?
Ridley: Works for me.
Sephiroth: Why don’t you solve this in a more civilized way? How about Rock-Paper-Scissors?
Ridley: Okay...
Colonel: Sure...
Ridley and the colonel make the hand motions and throw their picks. At that instant, Sephiroth throws a pair of large rocks that hit them in the head.
Ridley, Colonel: But... I threw paper.
Sephiroth: And I threw some rocks. Now clean up this place!

Specials follow the same format where appropriate.

Specials and weapons should be used before regular attacks can be used.

Special users can defeat one 1 or 2 HP NPC of their choice in addition to their special use (meaning without targeting the NPC with the special).

Super Smash Attacks (SSA): SSA actions are powerful, character-specific moves with special effects. They can only be activated two ways and usually involve the character being removed from the game (see below) for a short time. The SSA use counter does not reset until all characters have used their SSA. To activate: either use a Smash Emblem or buy it with some points. They may not be ready at the start of the game, but I’ll finish them as soon as possible.

Removed from the Game (RFG): Unlike in Magic: The Gathering, this is not a permanent effect. Characters removed from the game cannot attack or heal but cannot be targeted. They return to play after a set amount of rounds. At least three characters will remain in play at all times.

Special Character - Gogo: Due to Gogo’s unique nature, I will post his information every round. If there are any questions, PM me, and I will willingly help.
Gogo cannot attack or heal. He is active every round. He has only one special which he uses every round.
Special: Mime: *Gogo copies the last action done (the post above this use). *Gogo’s user may choose new targets. *If a special was used, Gogo receives -3 damage in addition to the special’s effects. *Cannot mime SSAs or actions in the GM’s posts. *Cannot be the first action of the round. *If Gogo is not used, he automatically heals for +1 HP each round, but he starts with 30 HP at the beginning of the game. *He counts as male for gender related contests.

3: Today’s subject: Nichelle Nichols. Hold over joke: Going from a space case to space traveler. Although Nichols is an accomplished singer, having even sung with Duke Ellington, she is often thought of one of the first African-American space travelers, having done so in a still heavily divided era. A young Whoopi Goldberg once remarked to her parents: "Come quick! Come quick! There's a black lady on TV, and she ain't no maid!" Despite not liking the role at first, Dr King convinced her to stick it out and inspired Nichols to continue with the series. Thanks to her staying with Star Trek, Nichols inspired many African-American women to reach for the stars, inspiring future actresses and astronauts alike. She was even involved on the first interracial kiss on US TV. After Star Trek, Nichols went to work for NASA. She maintained her love of space and was present at many important NASA events, complete with the christening of the shuttle Enterprise.
