Taller people earn more money

http://www.slate.com/?id=2063439

30% of Fortune 500 CEOs are 6'2 or taller

http://www.gladwell.com/blink/blink_excerpt2.html

BUT

If hunger became a world issue, tall people would die first because they require more food than small things.

Discuss.

Hold onto your seats people... the SL is back.

So, I should just marry a girl with very tall relatives, and I'll be set for life when the famines start.

I'm tall, but I'd prefer to be short because then you have a larger scope of boys avaliable to you. Although at least I can reach stuff that other people can't :)

You should see my mother and I using plastic spoons to reach things on high shelves, or nearly climbing up the racks at the grocery store. xDD

I'm 5'3" and my boyfriend's 5'4" (yes, I know he's short) and we can't afford much food... So where does that put us?

I think this guy in my class is 6'3". He's really skinny, especially for a guy, but he eats a lot. One time, he brought $5 to school for lunch, and he bought four servings of fries for $1.25 each.

No, I never officially left; yes, I am gone forever. I have also permanently left AIM. If you need to contact me, drop a line on LJ. Same username.

I'm medium? Medium-short? Around 5'4" I think. I used to be super short for my age, but I'm not so much anymore. I'm not tall, but I'm not really short either.
...I hate being taller than people(my age). It makes me feel all awkward.

I'm 5'9" (175cm), which is taller than my girlfriend, but when she's in heels... watch out.

So, I like being this height, but would rather be at least 6'.

I am short.
I always was the smallest person in my class.
I hated it that. People call me midget XD
But...... I eat a lot.
So I probably wouldn't last long.

Oh, I know! Sometimes I wish I was just a little bit shorter because most of the (cute) boys where I live are shorter than I am.

Taller people earn more money? Boy, I wish that were true for my family -- my mom is like, 5'8" and my dad is around 6'3". And one of my brothers (who is two years younger than me!) is 6'4"... I'm probably around 5'6" or something.

I'm 5'4 so I'm just below average for my age, apparently. Being average would be boring though, so I'm glad I'm not XD I like my height. It causes me no problems, except for my dad keep calling me shorty, but he's only 5'5 himself! So really, he's shorter than me because he's a man and men are meant to be tall ;)

The tall, rich people would buy up most of the food, since they need more of it, leaving the short people to starve, since they can't afford it at all.

I'm Asian and pretty average for my ethnicity, I guess, but it's hard to not feel short when you're living in the land of the giants. (it's not the most newsworthy article on the topic, but the guys' opening paragraphs are hilarious :P)
