I thought when you got shop banned you were just banned from that one shop ? How long do these last, first time offence ? And yes I was refreshing like a crazy fool at the gift shop

No, a shop ban is for all shops. I'm pretty sure they're usually 12 hours... although I may be wrong, it's been quite a while since I've been banned.

Shop banned means that you're banned from all the shops, although you can still shop at the Igloo. Not sure if there's other shop you can shop in. Also not sure about the timing. For me usually, its a whole day. So, once I got banned I just log off and come back the next day.

I usually give 5 minutes break after like half an hour of refreshing a shop. Don't know if its true, but I get shop banned lesser.

Shop bans last anywhere from 6 to 72 hours...it's not totally automatic (the banning is, the clearing isn't). Once people get back into the office on monday, they'll clear out all the shop bans. That's why everybody who is shop banned gets unbanned at the same time.

You are banned from all official shops, but not the pirate petpets or the igloo garage sale.
