Not sure exactly. Friendly, funny, confident, all of the above? Just people who aren't elitists, really.

I don't know that there's necessarily one type of person I gravitate to. My friends are all pretty hugely different. I think I tend to just go for people who don't judge...and those which either make my nationality not an issue or who make a ridiculous number of ridiculous jokes but know when to stop and apologise. (Not that this applied in the States, but it definitely does now.)

Funny is a must. If someone can't laugh, I don't know how to talk to them.
Intelligent comes in second, because I really do like the people who can keep up with me when I start rocketing off on some crazy tangent, but I've got a few friends who aren't intelligent--they're smart and sensible, but not the school-type of smart.
One thing that initially draws me in, also, is openness. There's this kid in one of my classes who is blind and has some deformities caused by chemical exposure, and if he weren't a very open, friendly person, I'd feel awkward about talking to him. But he's just so relaxed, and he doesn't try to hide or be quiet, so you start to--not to forget he's got these conditions, but to accept them as just something else about him, the way you accept things like height and hair color.

Morons. I attract them. I can not, nor run or hide.

Definitely intelligent, funny and somewhat geeky. Attractiveness is a plus, too
