Well, let's see Adam. You're running a Windows ME E-Machine (I'm used to HP when you F-Disk, you can't get your drivers back.), you've tried the drivers thing...I'm idealess. I can't think. I asked my dad, he's...*waits* My dad says either your video card or video card program is going out.

EDIT- If your video card is onboard, it might be a bit harder to replace though. Onboard's are onboard of the motherboard (right? I forgot.) and you'll have to replace the whole mother board.

You can put in another video card and point it to PCI or AGP. Some BIOS options let you disable onboard video if you have an AGP slot.

I'm having a problem with closing various webpages. For some reason at different times when I click the little 'x' in the top right corner, the webpage I'm on won't close. It can happen anywhere from Neopets to Hotmail. Does anyone know why? I'm doing a Spyware search right now to check if anything can be causing it.

Try all of the variants listed in http://www.webmasterworld.com/forum21/8017-1-10.htm (seems to be Tools > Internet Options > Content > Content Adviser that needs to be disabled)

IE is giving me problems again. It will not accept any cookies, I've lowered the privacy setting to "accept all cookies" and still nada...I've reset all the settings to default and still nothing. I can't neomail people in neopets because it tells me I have something wrong with my security settings. I would give up on IE and use Mozilla only but unfortunately that browser doesn't read Iframes well...Anyone know how to fix this?

It sounds like Norton, not IE.

I had the same problem with IE, and somebody gave me a link to their help site with directons on how to fix it. (Norton's site, that is) I saw the link somewhere on PPT, I'll have to go look for it.

EDIT: I found it. Here

Hmm.. Try turning your firewall off quickly and trying Neopets, then turn it back on when you're done?

I'm not sure if that will do much, but if it works at least you know what the problem is.

"Cookies don't stick." You generally shouldn't be getting this (the instructions below are only if the problem is with IE, not with any other software), but you can try the following (check if your problem is resolved after each step):
  1. Close all IE windows (includes windows explorer).
  2. Restart your PC
  3. Delete your Cookies ("Internet Options...")
  4. Delete your temporary files.

I got a Stealth S80 graphics card.
I put it in the computer.
It said it would pop up saying windows has found new hardware but it didn't.
I went to install anyways and it said I didn't have the required hardware...
Another thing...
THERE WAS NO VIDEO CARD IN MY COMPUTER AT ALL!

Sorry if this following info doesn't help you much. I'm not really a big pro at HijackThis scans.

First off though, I could tell you that I'm almost positive that the MYSEARCHBAR that's currently running ( C:\PROGRAM FILES\MYWEBSEARCH\BAR\C.BIN\MWSOEMON.EXE ) is spyware or spyware related.

Now this next part is just what I THINK. I'm not positive on all of this. I think that you can get rid of the AN0.EXE ( C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\AN0.EXE ) , UKXV7XMZ.EXE ( C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\UKXV7XMZ.EXE ), AdRoarUpdate (O4), and the wucrtupd O4 (I believe that loads up the reminder to update your computer with Windows Update--not really necessary).

I'm also a bit worried about many of those .EXE O4s you have there (like AV.EXE, Szep85lm.exe ). I really want to say you disable/delete them, but you better wait for an expert like Hunter or Soujiro to come along.

By the way, I use AboutBuster to help me clean up my HijackThis logs. I believe it runs a scan on your computer and deletes .EXE files that are potentially dangerous.

AboutBuster Download Link: http://www.atribune.org/downloads/AboutBuster.zip
