My dad sent me a link to this article today -

I'd hate for it to attack me!

lol, that reminds me of the polydactyl cat we had (only, she only had six toes instead of the usual five, not seven!) She would get into the cat food if it was left out and take dainty little handfuls. She was such a sweet kitty. <3

That's pretty cool, though. ^^ It seems that having more claws is helpful, which is good.

Aww, I love polydactyl cats! They're usually so friendly and sweet. Hemingway's estate in Key West has a huge colony of them around--one of the tour guides told me that there are breeders trying to create an American Polydactyl breed.

...? That would be good, so long as the owner doesn't try to take it back!

Noooo, what if it was kneading on you? Instead of a few little scratches, you'd have several, maybe dozens!

Kitty scratches, unlike regular scratches, do not itch; they tickle.

Although this is coming from experience with almost all female cats, which are notoriously more gentle.

Long story short: My Sisters Evil cat woke me up Christmas day at some foul hour of the morning, by sitting on my chest and digging claws into me.
To this day, we have had a... Strange, relationship.

I get the Evil eye now, which is only marginally better to be honest.

Not necessarily, I've got a female cat and her scratches itch like the dickens. However, the fact that I'm a bit allergic to them may also be a factor.

Good thing neither of my cats are like that. One is the spawn of Satan (and her name is Princess <_<), and tries to scratch you unless you pet her in a certain way. The other loves getting her ears scratch, and will put one of her arms around your arm and dig her claws in to get a grip (read: death grip). It doesn't draw blood, but it hurts like hell.

Eek, kitty scratches are the worst! Kind of like puppy nips, which hurt much worse than adult-dog nips.
