Hi all, long time lurker but not poster! :) So, I happened upon a code for a flash game that I can't find listed anywhere. The code makes the game so easy that you basically just sit there and can get a high score. I haven't used it to do so because I'm scared of getting frozen over it. It's definitely a code that's built into the game, but I just don't know. What do you guys/gals think? I don't know that it would even send the score after using the code, but I don't want to try. I'm not posting details on purpose, for those who will ask. ;)

What game is it for?

Maybe you didn't see the last sentence of my post.. the game isn't the issue, using the code is. I'm just curious about opinions on the matter.

The reason we ask is that we are aware of some game codes that do make the game easier - but I've never hear of one as easy as the way you describe it. If we knew what game, we might already be aware of the code.

So is it a text word, like a regular neopet game code, that you type in while the game is playing, like typing nopopups in Advert Attack? If so, I can't imagine any typing during a game being against the rules, and you would be free to use it and share it with us. If you are talking about entering a code using a flash editor, well of course that could get you frozen, but when you say "it's definitely a code that's built into the game", I presume you mean text that you type in.

If you're talking about pushing the spacebar, well they said in the editorials that that's wrong. I was presuming they meant Itchy Invasion, which I heard they fixed, but I don't know if they meant Castle Battles, too, which is one where, yes, it makes the game much easier.

The only other code I know that makes a game much easier is the laser recharge code for Attack of the Slorgs. Most other game codes only add an extra life, or more time, or do something helpful but are limited to once per game, so none of them make the whole game super easy.

So yes, feel free to share it with us. If any are worried about using it, they can wait until someone tries it out for them.

I can understand where you're coming from, but I don't want the thing to be tied to me in any way. I know how they are... I didn't do anything to the flash file, but peek inside to see if there were any new codes. Here's a different example for the non-believers. In Hasee Bounce, there's a code: pleasegivemeonemillionneopointsthankyouhasees Try it out. It doesn't seem to really do anything, but you can see that it's there.

Edit: Also meant to add that I hadn't seen a code like it before either, which is why I asked in the first place. Just seemed odd. And yes, it's a code you just type in like the Hasee one above. :)

Okay. Now I see where you're coming from. I suppose it could have been in there the way some of the "god-mode" cheats were in PC games to make it easier for the developers to test the game, and perhaps Neo forgot to take it out.

Of course who's to say that a lot of our other game codes weren't found by looking in the flash code? I can't see how it can be wrong to type in a code, we do it all the time; but you're right, I suppose we should be wary of this one. Neo is so very freeze-happy. It wouldn't be worth it for an extra 3000 np per day, or for a high-score. Better to work at it the hard way. "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is." Of course I believe you that it's true, I'm just saying that you're right, it's probably not that "good" for you, however much I would be tempted to use it. There would be ways to safely test TNT's reaction to it, though.

BTW I tried the 1Mnp code you said. I think I've seen it mentioned before but never bothered to try it since it doesn't help you at all. Just like I don't try all the Ollie clicks.

Yes exactly! And I know if I just posted the code there would be a mad rush and it would flood the scoreboard. Even if the code is OK, I don't want to get frozen for that somehow because they would have to take it out. I guess I'll hold off on it. x_X

Here's one that I haven't seen: In Jolly Jugglers, you can get an extra life by typing magicjugglingballs. I can also say that typing blackpawkeet in Dubloon Disaster does nothing. :)

99% of the time, if its a code you type in - its a feature, not a bug and you can use it. Heck, they once literally had a feature "autoplay" on Black Pawkeet Slots that played the entire game for you in your settings (they removed it pretty darned quickly after people left it running all day and won millions)

Anywho, if you want, you can PM me with the code and game and I'll tell you whether its allowed or not, other than that, there's not much we can do without actually knowing the game or the code.

Can you post the name of the game? I can look through the source as well so posting wouldn't cause a flood but only people familiar with source code or do you think that wouldn't be okay?

I'd still rather not, at least not yet. The codes are alarmingly easy to find if you know anything about programming though. There are 2 schemes they try to use to obfuscate them, but they really don't do anything.

Thanks for the Jolly Jugglers code. I definitely haven't seen it before. I'm sure it will be on everyone's code list now though! And thanks for confirming that blackpawkeet does nothing. That's how I had it listed - as useless.
