It's even more masculine if you pronounce it "Dehrrck" and make a noise like you're about to spit right before the K.

For some reason, I think that name sounds really nerdy, like Dexter. I think what makes his name good is his last name. (A bit OT: My dad works downtown sort of by him and sort of met him on about three seperate occasions but not really. They were in the same room though XD)

If you were really an egomaniac, you'd name your kid something like Achilles.

Let's see...Bruce. I don't like the name but it sounds so manly.

My ego tells me to name 'em Oranos, the all father.
None of this mortal being rubbish, go straight for the big guy :P

Feminine...Ashleigh. :roflol:

Didn't that used to be a guys name? :P

Yeah. The name Ashley is still a very common name for a guy in the UK. Especially here in this part.

Right. Ashley is the masculine spelling, as well as Ashlee. But Leigh is the feminine spelling of the suffix -ley, therefore making Ashleigh a feminine name.
That and the fact my name's Ashleigh and I'm kinda girly. XD

It goes both ways, actually- I've known lots of girls named Ashley, and none named Ashleigh. On the other hand, I have known guys named Ashleigh.

'Cause of that, Ashleigh's (the name's) always seemed much more masculine to me. O_o

can't find the sig from this set, so instead, you get a <3 .

*wears sweaty shirts, jeans and football boots, has cropped hair, and is very buff*

Rock sounds manly enough to me.

As for girls, yeah, Lily's very feminine. Otherwise, I always thought Jenny was quite gentle-sounding.

Jenny makes me think of female mechanics for some reason?

Makes me think of Jenny Calendar, and she's dead, and deadness from snapped neck is not very feminine, so...

:P

You're giving me quite a paradigm shift.

I think any of the stupid american names sound kind manly.

Butch. Brett. Chip. I hope no one here has such a ridiculous name.

can't think of many manly names, but feminine...

Alice, Elizabeth, Lily, Rose, Emily... Lots of flower names.

I hate most gem/shiny chunk of rock names- to me, they're not feminine, just cold and, well, sorry to those of you who have gem names or like them, but I kind of think they're tacky. :/

*Crosses 'igneous' from list of names*

:(

Igneous rocks aren't gems. O_o

No, but they can be shiny chunks of rock cant they.
Well. No, not usually.

Obsidian! According to crazy people, if you put it ontop of a computer it turns gray from radiation.

Whoa!! For REAL??

I gotsa get myself some Obsidian rock then. Hmm...I wonder if it would have the same effect inside a microwave....

Not sure if it will turn grey, but I know that chipped obsidian is sharper than any scalpel devised by man, and holds its edge better. You can cut through goat skin thisfast with a decent obsidian knife.

Thus making Obsidian a more poweful name than Chip or Flint, or the last name Sharp :P
