I was looking around on the search engines on Neopets.
I cam across a site on a Petetion on Neopets so called Religios Ban:

It said

I am writing to complain about racism on Neopets.com. A fellow user, a Jew, wrote a message board to other Jews merely wishing good luck on Yom Kippur. When she was officially warned, not by a computer but by the neopets staff, she complained. Because she complained, she was frozen.

She probable said something bad or something in it..... the person never did say what the board said..... plus I don't think your supposed to talk about other religions because, it may upset other players....

Well there is a rel;igion ban on neopets. so if she got frozen on neopets for talking about that, she deserved it. it says in the official neopets rules that anything on religion might get you warned or frozened. Also, u should not complain to TNT. they have the power of icing u.

well, maybe she shouldn't have been talking about a religious holiday on neopets, but when you get down to it, TNT is quite hypocritical in that matter. CHRISTmas, anyone? there're even paintbrushes for this christian holiday.

Now getting frozen for wishing someone a happy holiday is just wrong.

well christmas is very popular in california and england. main headquarters of neopets, so they are more favorable towrads christmas. bottom line, don't argue with neopets on their rules!

that's just pure discrimination then.

Its true that christmas is celebrated more then other holidays, but nobody should be frozen for not being christian.

TNT thought about changing that a long time ago(from an old NT editorial), but they ended up letting the name stay in and not changing to seasonal paint brush. The reason remains unknown. Perhasp it was decided that it didn't sound that religious or maybe it was just forgotten. *shrugs*

well, as i said before, it was just one person that froze that girl. they probably had a bad day and wanted someone to freeze. the girl might have said nothing insulting about religion, but since neopets prohibit religion talk, they could just freeze them for that. Also, Adam no longer owns neopets. He sold it!

Shifty, I think you're missing part of the story.

First of all, none of us know exactly how these alleged events occured. Assuming this story is true, I'm betting that the person who was frozen is the one spreading this story. In which case, you can bet that the story will be slanted in their favor.

The person was warned for their message. I'm not sure why. However, what got them frozen was "complaining". How did they complain? Did this person write a rude/nasty letter to the support staff? I mean, I think while you can have opinions, none of us know what happened.


As to the paintbrush, not that many kids hear "Christmas" and think Christianity, when I was younger, I always associated Christmas with Santa, reindeer, and presents. That's pretty much how they do Christmas on Neopets.

yes, i agree. not many kids think that christmas relates to Christianity. Many just think that they relate to presents.

well, theink of it this way, why should you even talk about religious stuff on neopets. you got aim and other stuff for that.

maybe some people think of santa and presents, but christmas is still a religious holiday. and the christmas zafara just screams religious.
