Reminder: Illusen Doll Avatar

The weekend news hasn't come out yet so there is no mention of it. Just thought I'd put out a friendly reminder to avoid the issues with the last Soup Faerie Avatar and Gadgadsbogen Avatar fiasco.

If anyone doesn't have the seasonally available avatar tomorrow is the day. I'll be checking it tomorrow and posting my results if no one else has by the time I sign on. I'm sure a lot of people have it but some of the newer members may not.

Oh and to get the avatar all you have to do is complete an Illusen's Quest on Illusen Day, March 17th. I also checked and yes the Neopian calendar has tomorrow listed as Illusen Day Well I hope that someone benefits from this.

I'd like to add that it'd be a good idea to check today (what's left of it anyway) and make sure you didn't try an Illusen quest earlier and give up on it. Every year there are a lot of people who go to do a quest for the av, and Illusen refuses and tells them to wait a day, and thus they miss out on it.

If that made any sense..? I'm sleepy, so probably not.

And it looks like several other people have already confirmed it.

Metalmario thanks for that last tip since I forgot about that happening when you fail a quest.

Also, If you fail it only takes 12 hours before she will give you another quest and not the 24 hours like many people think.

I did miss the Gadgadsbogen avatar. Made me wanna cry when I found out. :roflol:

Thanks for the reminder!! I had great luck with Illusen today! She asked for a cheap item I had just picked up at the Igloo yesterday! It was still in my inventory, so I was able to get the avvie for next to nothing and it took almost no effort to do it!

I thought the first quest she gives you was supposed to be easy! I'd never done an Illusen quest before, so this was my first. And she asked for an item that I couldn't find with the wiz, only in trades. I had no idea how much it was worth, and none of my offers were excepted in time!
