Congratulations, you won your challenge!
AAA has awarded you Ice Cream Machine Poster.

I am so glad that is over. My previous best was 7000.

Todays prizes seemed reversed or something. Cute looking food item versus dull poster. All this AAA neohome stuff is pretty useless to me. I dont do a thing to my neohome, except add to my garish Holiday room come Advent time.

I was a bit nervous because it said my high score was 4,500 or so. I hadn't played in a long time, and didn't know if I gave my best effort in getting that score. :P

18/18 launch day AAA's

woah, I've only managed to defeat AAA once, and that was on Whack a Kass yesterday. Mind you, I've never been terribly good at the games, I don't make oodles of neopoints, just enough to slowly save. Very slowly. Incredibly slowly in fact. *sigh*

There have been quite a few games that I know I can beat AAA on, but Abigail's prizes just seem so much better. I love the ice cream for today <3

Are there any tips for this game? Like what special thing does what, which ones are good and which are bad etc... ?
My previous best score was 420, but I tried again today and got in the 3000s.

Edit: Pffft 7370. I thought AAA's score was 7000 so I sent it. Guess I'll try again.
Re-edit: 8255 yippee!

General tip for ICM: I never ever go for the red 'minus' scoop. It makes the ice cream slow down, but at the same time, it seems to create massive walls of scoops...especially in the levels after peach. Its a lot easier to go at a normal speed than to go up against a wall of slow-moving ice cream.

Its also good to stay away from the sides whenever possible so you dont get trapped, and to avoid keeping the chia too close to the top in case your mouse skips up off the page while a scoop is hurtling towards you.

I love Ice Cream Machine. And I loved Ice Cream Factory before it :)

Good:

Shield (don't get this if you're small)
Strawberry Bomb (clears the screen)
Small
Plus (+50 points)
Cherry Sundae (+100 points)
Fish Ice Cream (looks like a Fish Negg, +250 points)
Heart (extra life)

Bad:

Large
Minus (-50 points)
Any other flying ice cream

This one wasn't too bad. So far I'm 12-6 AAA.

The minus makes the ice cream slower, not take away 50 points. And the plus makes the ice cream speed up.

Oh. Really?

That's awesome. I feel extremely silly for grabbing all the pluses :)

It still glitches for me with opera, so I just went with the cheap prize for today. Not that I can't get the score, but they really need to fix it.

Just another hint or two. If u type in strawberryvanillachocolate between a level you will get an extra life. in addition if you wait 3-5 minutes on the level screen Adee will turn into the orange shirt guy. And then supposedly after that you'll get more random items. Seems to work but if you're impatient I wouldn't worry about it.

I LOVE this game! (I've recently discovered I'm quite good at it, and have managed to get above the avvie score several times now). All the tips already mentioned are great! I score 10k+ on a regular basis, so I thought I'd share some of my strategies:

Tips:
Scoops with toppings give you 10 pts instead of 5pts.
Definitely use the cheat code for an extra life in between levels.
Stay to the middle of the screen.
You can stay directly above one column and wait until a scoop shows up there to move over a column and then back. This prevents you from having to worry about following tooo many columns at once.
If you see a strawberry bomb on the screen, and you have nothing but plain scoops, use it. Just be careful not to use it at the tail end of the level, as you'll lose the extra scoops.
As for slowdowns and speed ups: On later levels (7+), ONE, and ONLY ONE slow down can be helpful. Any more than that, and you'll run into massive scoop walls. Just keep in mind: size and speed resets to the level default whenever you get a point bonus, life, strawberry bomb, or scoop shield.
Scoops shields are wonderful, but continue to dodge scoops while you have it: this way when it runs out, you're not on top of a scoop!

DO NOT RIGHT CLICK!!! (this causes immediate end of game!)

I personally don't leave the first level unless it meets one of these conditions: 1) Gives me an extra life and/or 2)My score is over 200 (whether it be by topping scoops or bonuses)

General scores by level:
Beginning level 5 (Blueberry): around 1800-2000
Beginning level 7 (Strawberry Vanilla Chocolate): around 3750-4000
Beginning level 9 (Vanilla Chocolate Swirl): around 6200
If you can live through level 9, you should make it past 7500.

Some more in-depth guides that are helpful:
http://www.neopets.com/~PatGraham
http://www.neopets.com/~Decebuary
http://www.neopets.com/~Kallycherry
(all from garmfay's guide links)

Hope this helps!

EDIT: Oh, and turn the music off! It's cute an all, but you'll do SO much better if you have silence to work in!

ARRR...
Score: 11655
However, it said there were problems sending my score. *shakes fists*
So it didn't send.
Oh well.. I love Ice Cream Machine, so 11655 wasn't at all hard for me to get.

EDIT: There! 10650 :D
Such a lame prize though..
