I am finally going to comment on this topic in the field of 'I completely agree'. It would be funny to see Sawyer doubled over or making frequent trips to the latrine next episode for a little comic relief. As a last comment, I am reminded of an old Simpsons line. Homer and Marge are cleaning, and they come across old beer. Billy Beer. Homer opens one and sips. 'Aw! We elected the wrong Carter.'

This episode advance the plot enough for everyone?

I think so. And the flashback was both relevant to the character development and touching as well.

Ooooh yeah it was awesome. I can't wait to see the next episode, which will establish the already suspected connection between

I knew Locke would cause the explosion as soon as they pointed out the C4, but I liked the Marvin Candle appearance. I wonder if we'll go back to the appropriately named Flame station and check the ruins?

I was sort of sad to see Mrs. Klugh go though. We won't be getting any information out of her, and while it doesn't matter except that I was having this discussion with some friends right before, they've gotten rid of every single black character on the show.

The Hurley v. Sawyer thing was funny, but I wish they had included a little more of it. Still, story needs to come before pointless side plots in the more serious episodes. The writers are obviously trying to bring Paulo and Nikki back into the fold as well.

Ha, I knew the explosion was going to happen too. Too bad he didn't test out some of the other options first. :(

I was surprised that a) Ms. Klugh can speak Russian, and b) She asked him to kill her. Because to me, that seemed like a perfectly negotiable situation. I'm going to have to ask my Russian friend (who's name is Mikhail) what they were saying. (Other than kill me)

Lastly, I don't know why they introduced Paulo and Nikki. :P I mean, if they needed two extra "main characters", I think they could have just used Rose and Benard. Instead of doing what they're doing now. Apparently they're going to have a "Flashback" as well, and it's going to be what they did on the island when they just "happened" to avoid the camera. ;)

Won't be necessary :)

Klugh: Mikhail. Mikhail! You know what to do.
Mikhail: We still have another way [out].
Klugh: We cannot risk. You know the conditions.
Mikhail: There is another way.
Klugh: They captured us. We will not give (or let, or betray) [unintelligible].
Klugh: You know what to do. It is an order.
Mikhail: We still have another way!
Klugh (in English): Just do it, Mikhail.
Mikhail: Forgive me. (shoots)

I actually do understand some Russian. They were speaking way too fast for me to pick up, however.

I loved this episode. The flashback was touching, the ping-pong game was funny, and they finally went on with the plot! I knew everything was going to explode when I saw all those Dharma documents and manuals on the shelves ._. Damn Locke and his bad habit to blow stations up ._.

Locke has a problem with letting things be. I knew he was gonna blow the place.

Love seeing Sawyer put in his place, he can be so cocky.

I think they are trying to bring Nikki and Paulo in because they want more acttractive young people. The ratings are slipping and maybe they are hoping this will boost it a bit. /speculation.

Next epi looks good, glad to be advancing in the story line finally.

I just remembered Rose, although she doesn't really count. We haven't seen her for quite a while. =\

That sound fence was sweeeeet. Ears bleed, foam at the mouth, die. Impressive.

And the cliffhanger at the end killed me. I was like "Aaaaah, don't end it there!"

Claire whines too much.

I'd say Jack has either been brainwashed or he is co-existing in order to not be locked up....leaning towards the brainwashing.

I don't know how Claire and Jack will ever find out they are siblings. Claire doesn't even know her fathers name!

I'm leaning toward the latter.

I thought the Claire story was filler, but the sound fence was AWESOME. I thought it was a microwave thing when I first saw it. Wouldn't it be possible to run through before the speakers could warm up? If you had a running start, you could probably manage it.

...Would you really wanna risk it when you can just climb over instead? :P

WOW.

That's all I feel like saying right now, but the revelation we were waiting for did not disappoint at all. I'll discuss later.
