You sound just like me! I kept on getting like..80 points til I figured out that a) there is a little sign to the side telling you what color you're aiming for. I felt so dumb for not getting this sooner. b) the best way to get points in a level is to fill up the other two vats that aren't being requested, then fill up the third because then hopefully on the next request a bunch of them will poop out really fast. When this happens you pay attention to the grundo so you get a bonus for having to many in a row. I think. That is how I am choosing to believe the game is scored. Oh, and click the soap thingy, but nothing else because everything else seems to be bad. And don't click the blobs with weird faces, because they suck too.
Yeah. I got a score of 448, which I am pretty dang proud of considering my previous score of 7.
What's worse is that I DID notice the icon on the side telling me what color I am supposed to make and yet still have no aim, plus I am frantic when I hear time is involved (and who would need to notice a clock unless they had a hard as time as I do at the game; I'd rather just try to get better).
Then WHEN do I need to pay attention to the Grundo? Geez, alrealy I have a clock, three colors moving at different speeds, and a Grundo stealing my points? to keep track of. I must be so unevolved.
I noticed the "angry" blobs do me no good. Other than that, I have no idea what I am doing ... since ... everything just goes so darn fast! Geez! I will remember soap is best, and to forget the other weird blobs, thanks.
As for B, I read this earlier in the thread and although counter-logic to me I tried it. Rather I tried to mostly ignore what color had to be made and just fill up buckets. (Which is, again, ironic that the point of making a certain color should be obtained by making the others first, but so be it.) It just seems my weak points are timing and aim here. Intricately tied. I am amazed I can even play Space Fungus at all. It must be hard wired to my brain. But hard to wire Freaky Factory! Too random and chaotic to me.
EDIT: okamotosan18, you seem to pwn AAA. "And not putting more blobs in while that color's vat is full." So here comes the stupid question: How do I balance this? If I try to develop my aim ( again I can play well at UB and Petpet Cannonball, Space Fungus, but gravity perplexes me
) then how do I keep some vats from becoming too full? The "overflow" meter indicates just what I have spilled? Or not? Now I am more confused.
