Marissa. Before I begin, please note that I'm in no way angry with you, and I certainly can understand the need to focus on classwork at any time during the year, and esplecially during midterms or finals. And I don't think anyone else faults you for putting school first either.

Perhaps next time, you could make a simple post at the beginning of the judging period that simply states that you'll be too busy to finish your ratings by the deadline, and that you'll need more time, or that you'll have to skip this round? That would allow all of us to not have to wonder where you are.

Round 4 Assignment:

Create a Wallpaper:

- Size must be at least 800 x 600
- Your wallpaper size must be a functional wallpaper size. (1024 x 768, 1280 x 1024... etc) I would recommend making a wallpaper for your own computer resolution.
- The Wallpaper must be somewhat functional. The functionality will be taken into account in the professor's gradings, how much it affects the final grade is up to the individual professor's discretion.
- For the purpose of this assignment, lets assume there will be a 30 pixel bar at the bottom of your wallpaper. (Even though some people like to have the taskbar on "hide")
- For the purpose of this assignment, lets assume that there will be at least a vertical row's worth of icons on your desktop. Please make some sort of area for them where they do not cover anything. (It can be anywhere on the wallpaper, it doesn't have to be on the left side)
- However, may I ask that the judges please don't take the functionality of the wallpapers as seriously as last round.

Hints:
* I would recommend leaving some sort of area for icons, in which they do not cover anything important up.

* To find out your desktop resolution, or a wallpaper resolution, follow these steps:

1. Right click on your desktop.
2. Select Properties
3. Click on the "Settings" tab
4. You will find the resolution next to the colors selection.

If you are unfamiliar with Wallpapers, here are a few examples:

Maximum of 2 people may be eliminated this round.

Um, ew, wallpapers. That's the one thing that I have no idea at all how to do. >___<

Oh, and by the way WIS, maybe you should change the "All icons are due by *date*" to the actual kind of graphic. Rofl.

I'm just posting to withdraw from the contest.

I've learned a lot and I'm very surprised to still be in this far! But the day after tomorrow I'm going away and I've been trying to do a wallpaper all morning and last night but to be honest I can't get a good idea and everything has sucked so far.

Anyway, when I get back I'll be starting work more seriously so I would have had to pull out anyway if I had stayed in (which I doubt! XD).

So, good luck everyone still left and thanks judges for the useful comments.

1. Posting a graphic that you have not made is absolutely not tolerated. You will be disqualified from this competition and a moderator will be contacted. Also, you may not post Collaborations (work between more than one person), the work you post must be entirely yours.
2. You may not use drawings/photographs/images from deviantArt unless you have explicit permission from the artist.
3. You must include ALL images you used that is not part of your program's presets. This includes background images, images you used for texture, abstract 3-D renders and more.
4. Please be respectful of all other peers and staff.
5. If you do not hand in an assignment, you will be eliminated immediately.
6. If you are going to be away for any period of time, let me know in advance so I can give you your assignment beforehand.
