New Linkin Park Album

#1 Post by rbpnmn »

Sorry if there was already a thread about this. I searched a bit and couldn't find anything.

Well, LP released the first single, "What I've Done" today. You can hear it on their myspace. At first, I really wasn't sure what I thought of it, but it has slowly grown on me as the day has gone on. And the video is absolutely amazing too. I can NOT wait for the new album on may 15th.

What do you guys think? Any LP fans around here?

I quite like QWERTY (Although not on the album apparently), it was interesting to hear the way which they've taken it now (Listening to What I've Done as I type) and I'm getting deffinate.... Rasmus vibes from it.
Which is a good thing.

*Sits and listens to rest of song*

Loving it! A deffinate buy I think.

I can not wait for this album to come out <3
I've been waiting so long for a new album by them. And I really like this single, it grew on me as the song went on. I need to see the video now, however.

I think the song sounds a lot like something from The Rasmus, that's why I like it even more.

It's about time they made something new :) I've been waiting like forever!

As for the song itself, it sounds a bit 'soft' for Linkin Park, I liked the intensity of the old songs.. The clip is awesome however

I had no idea they were up to something.
I know of someone who's going to get all excited about this though. xD

The video is sad but beautiful. But I always seem to get mixed feelings about politics mixed with music.
Can't really say what I feel about the song yet.

I've never been quite sure how I felt about QWERTY. I liked Mike's rapping so much more on the studio version but I liked Chester's parts a lot more on the live version.

Anyways, the video is being taken down by Warner about as fast as it's being put up on youtube. But once it's up on like, AOL or MTV, be sure to watch it. Everything about it is amazing....other than Chester's outfit, that is.

59,278 minutes till the album according to linkinpark.com

CANT WAIT!

"What I've Done" was a big let down for me; I was expecting such a huge and big comeback single for Linkin Park and this just didn't do it. They didn't bring any "oomph" back, and this sudden "political" storyline doesn't make it any more original. It actually makes the video that much worse.

It just seems like "What I've Done" should've been a fourth single or even at most a second, but I mean, it just isn't showing how Linkin Park has "grown".

I'm resisting the urge to go buy the new video from iTunes. I already purchased the song and now that I have a new video iPod, I'm really considering it *smacks self*

And I'm pretty sure that Linkin Park stand no chance against Evanescence with the whole MTV crowd, y'know?

Wow. It's like they've just noticed bad things happen and they want to write about it all.

You pretty much covered it all.

...That video. So lame. So...cheap looking. *remembers Breaking the Habit and wonders where all their talent went*
