I am extending the contest end time by about 10 hr (basically until I have to head to class) because I have been getting weird posting errors as mentioned on the PPT Discussion board. Use the time wisely to enter or to add to any existing lists.

Edit @ 0640 PST/NST: I figured out the glitch so I can post as normal. As such and because I am going to fall asleep on my keyboard (no, I haven't been working on it for this long), I will be ending the contest in about 2.5 hr or about 0930 PST/NST. Yeah. I only cut 30 min from my last statement. good luck once more.

Edit @ about 0930 PST/NST: Wow! This will be easy to judge. I like how each of the long term contests/events usually only get one entrant. Not being snide or rude. I like easy to judge contests.

Fei pounds Blaze with a X-Δ-X combo that leads to a Yamikei that hits for -8 damage with -3 drain on Fei. The Redead lurch over and drain X, Kite, and Young Link for -2 damage each. The Tonberry tries to ‘doink’ Kasumi, but Reno chooses that moment to chase Kasumi with his chocobo and tramples the Tonberry into submission in the process. On the sideline, Kite has kicked away the Redead is talking with a friend. The person leaves to go elsewhere. Lisha walks up to Kite.
Lisha: Who was that?
Kite: Who? Tsukasa? Just a friend.
Lisha: Can I get his SN? He’s cute.
Kite: ‘He’ is a girl, but she is into cats so... maybe.
Lisha smiles and squints happily at Kite through the ‘Coke bottles’ she is wearing.

Special users can defeat one 1 or 2 HP NPC of their choice in addition to their special use (meaning without targeting the NPC with the special).

Super Smash Attacks (SSA): SSA actions are powerful, character-specific moves with special effects. They can only be activated two ways and usually involve the character being removed from the game (see below) for a short time. The SSA use counter does not reset until all characters have used their SSA. To activate: either use a Smash Emblem or buy it with some points. Characters that still have an available SSA are marked with the Yen symbol (¥)

Removed from the Game (RFG): Unlike in Magic: The Gathering, this is not a permanent effect. Characters removed from the game cannot attack or heal but cannot be targeted. They return to play after a set amount of rounds. At least three characters will remain in play at all times.

Hyrule: +90 points - Magic Sack - Members may use any weapon unlimited times (weapon changes user after each use unless user can do unlimited attacks) (Check item guide or with the GM for items)
Independent: +0 - None (duh, they have no team)
Defeated - Kongo Jungle: +20 - Monkey Friends - When a member is attacked, the attacker receives a -1 damage counterattack for every -2 damage dealt to member (counterattack is rounded down)
Mushroom Kingdom: +40 - Mega Mushroom - All members deal double damage for the rest of the round, but cannot use weapons. Negative side effects are doubled for members
Pokémon: +50 - Pokeball - A random, unused Pokeball is activated. Members are immune to the effects
Sephiroth: +60 - Summon Sephiroth - Either: a Guard Armor or Dark Trooper appear; or Sephiroth appears for the round and deals up to -20 damage distributed among the remaining characters.
Sonic: +60 - Hyper Sonic Speed - Members cannot be attacked for the rest of the round. Members may still attack.
Square Enix: +160 points - Job Change - Members may use any Dressphere that is currently not being used (Check Dressphere guide or with the GM for Dresspheres). Counts as a weapon action
Versus: +70 - Versus: Adrenaline Rush - Members may make unlimited actions. Special users may use their special twice (any given player may only use the special once)

Characters die at the end of the round at the hands of the last person that hurt them. NPCs and most bosses are defeated instantly. Best way to get points is to balance between defeating NPCs and characters. I added the mini-games to help give out more points. PS: Hyrule fishing will be returning next week for at least one day.

Reasoning: To be like the source game, you can still hit a character before they are defeated. Example: Koopa throws a green shell at DK and sends him in the air and heading out of the stage. Fox shoots with his blaster and hits DK before he is off screen. Fox will get credit for the kill since he hit DK last. I chose that example so it can be recreated on SSBM with a little ease. I know it allows players to snipe the defeat, but it has happened to me so many times in the game, it wouldn't be accurate to leave that element of the source game out of this recreation.

Oh! Important point gaining note: be the first to get the last member of a Faction to 0 or less HP. That credit and the Faction's defeat goes to the first to defeat the Faction, not the one that gets the last hit.
