I doubt you do it to the degree that one of my classmates did but in grade school a kid I knew did that. It really made him seem tall and he was already tall to begin with. I don't know the exact details of it but walking like that all the time when he was 6-8 made it semi-permanent. He had to wear braces on his legs to correct it. It was odd.

On a side note I'm 5'9" and doubt I'll sprout anymore. My younger brother is taller than me and I'm pretty sure my sister will be as tall as me if not taller. I'm adopted though so I don't count for comparisons I suppose.

I do it because I like the feeling of control I have, seems odd, but I deffinetly feel like I have more power over my movement when walking on my toes.
