Do a Good Deed Project

#1 Post by Shoyru_Lover »

Hi everyone!! I've got an idea - let's all go out and improve the world one small gesture at a time... and we can all start by doing small things ourselves and report back here on what we did etc. We'll keep milestones of 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 9 months and a year, and we'll hand out awards at the end of each milestone to the person that sticks it out.

It doesn't have to be a grand gesture, just something and the only rule is that it has to be genuine.

Let's change the world!!

I'll start: Today I drove my little sister to her work. I also asked a mentor how I could get involved with the community to better the lives of the less fortunate.

This doesn't really count as it didn't happen today, but I also agreed to sing at a church service celebrating the anniversary of the freedom of slaves next week for free. I also agreed to sing at an intimate charity event for St. Vincent de Paul's Soup Kitchen for those in need for free as well.

Your turn :) Go forth and make us proud.

Great idea!

I just emailed my volunteer coordinator to tell her I'm willing to work an extra day this season. I've been volunteering at a hippotherapy center for about a year--I help people with disabilities learn to ride horses. It's awesome. :D

I spent 3.5 hours with bunches of 3 year olds running everywhere and jumping on tables for my church's Easter service.

Around 1200+ kids total, luckily I only had 12 of 'em.

Day 2: I went shopping with my mum and carried all her bags for her. I also recruited some people to help mentor children from underprivileged backgrounds.

Yesterday I jumped in my car after a phone call and helped a friend pack the rest of her stuff after her parents finished kicking her out.

Indeed it does Ninjoy. And thanks for the comments about the signature lol. It's growing on me.

Day 3: Today I drove my sister to the dentist to get her plates replaced as she lost hers and if mum and dad found out, she'd get in lots of trouble.

Are you serious?

This isn't fairyland Kym, we're not all living in a world of cute little bunnies and monkey's!

I'm kidding, relax!
