I can't believe I'm going to say this, but I actually enjoyed Sanjaya's performance tonight. It was, in my opinion, one of the best; the others were bland and I would rank Sanjaya right up there with Chris and Lakisha tonight.

Phil and Hailey should be in the bottom tomorrow, let's hope Phil goes home though. He's creepy.

Moogum wrote:Sanjaya still shouldn't be on the show for much longer, though. Singing in a foreign language is not cool, because it's so different than singing in English. The words flow together better, you have a different tone, etc. Had he sung an English song in a similar style it would not have been the same.

How is it not cool for Latin week? And he did sing in English as well, both languages were included in the song.

Ha, I knew there was a reason I liked Sanjaya!

I also liked performances by people like Haley who may have been not the most vocally challenging songs, but I think it fit the theme well. Half of American Idol is about performance these days, so I thought they were a little unfairly harsh on some of those.

Please let stalker (Phil) go home tommorow!

And yeah, Sanjaya had every right (and should have) sang in a foreign language. :P

Sadly no one did "La Camisa Negra". It's such a cool song!

I agree, I believe they were a bit harsh as well. When you think of Latin music, do you think of vocals over performance? I don't. The theme set up the night to be more about performance over vocals.

Sanjaya was pretty good, but one song isn't going to sway the fact that he shouldn't still be around. >_>:

He was better than usual, but I read this forum before watching it thinking he was going to be OMG AWSUM!!111 but I set myself up a little too high. :P

I like how Simon caught on to Haley's strategy. :P

And I actually really liked Melinda's performance, Sway is one of my favorite songs.

Sanjaya is getting back into his groove! (I liked him at first but since he got into the top 24 he started to get really bad) He doesn't deserve to go this week and I'm 99.9% sure he won't be going.

This was a fairly boring night. As for who's going? I don't know...I would say Haley but I thought she was going to go like 3 weeks ago. I REALLY don't like...how do I say it...the order in which people are going. The people who left already I didn't expect to win - but I really expected Chris and Stephanie to at least make the top 5. (The only person I'm ok with who's gone is Brandon actually) Based on tonight's performances, I think the bottom 3 should be Haley, Phil, and Chris.

Why is the results show an hour long tomorrow?

I really think Chris was horrible this week. :\ I mean, I actually liked some of his past performances, but I didn't think he did that well this week. I would say Haley (again), Phil and Chris as well. Haley would be going home tonight, I think. She's been in the bottom three since... forever?

Bah, I was going to vote today, but my mom's boyfriend had to call RIGHT after voting started. >_>

Anyway, bottom 3...

Haley
Phil
Likisha

Just to be different, since I think everyone else is correct already. xD

I agree with your predictions Kugetsu, for bottom three.

And I disagree about Chris, I thought his performance was good and I really enjoyed it.

I definately want him to win now, him and Jordin is fine with me.

Last night, when I heard that Jennifer Lopez was going to be coaching them, I automatically pictured Sanjaya singing "Jenny from the Block". I was so dissappointed that they could just pick any latin songs they wanted, and weren't forced to stick to J.Lo songs, just because that would really be a challenge and quite amusing all at the same time.

I don't think Chris is bad at all, I just don't think he can last til say...the top 5 (he was in the bottom 2 before), but it would be great if he did! Then again, it's hard to tell who will go since all the performances were so bland last night.

EDIT: What I meant was he should get into the top 5 but probably won't because people are voting for mostly bad contestants this season (Haley and Sanjaya mostly, Phil is bad sometimes too)

Simons little "School in a box" thing touched my heart.
"Thats supposed to be a picture of me? What are those? Those are supposed to be on a woman. I'm not very happy with you Caroline. I'm not very happy with your picture."

Loved it.

HE"S BLUSHING! Omg. Best clip ever. Go Simon!

(still waiting on the results)

Wow, I have to disagree with a lot of you. :P
I'm glad Haley is gone, I cannot stand her voice. And I like Phil!
I didn't really care for him at first, but his voice is the strongest out of all the dudes. All the guys have a mellow voice, but Phil has a great tone. Yeah he may not be the best looking, but he certainly isn't ugly. He's probably gonna get kicked out next week though. :( He's been in the bottom three like every week!

Chris Richardson needs new dance moves. D: The whole head bobbing thing and the Kevin Federline thing he has going on is LAME.

THE EVIL ONE HAS COME!

Chris is a wonderful candidate to become the next Idol, and I sincerly hope he makes it far. I will be upset if he does not make it farther than at least Phil, Sanjaya and Lakisha.
