(Shooting is violence, especially any living being; violence should not be encouraged and I hate violence. >.>)

I don't know much about frogs, but in case they secrete poison, wear those surgical gloves. Washing afterwards may not be a good idea if you don't wear them as it could be a little ineffective. Wear gloves, disinfect and wash your hands afterwards. ^_^

Hmm, I really don't know what to do about your dilemma except for what the others said, although if you use a net, try not to use small ones where the frogs can break their limbs off.

saying that animal rights "experts" tend to get a bit testy when you start bumping off animals willy-nilly (seriously, i didnt KNOW it was an endangered species! (long, long story) so i advise just scaring them away.

Theres no need to kill the frogs, but scaring them won't hurt them so everyone stop acting so crazy. Frogs are naturally skiddish creatures anyway, even though scaring them will only keep them away for so long.

Using a net is safe, unless some kind of rare freak accident happens they won't break any limbs.

Actually, scaring them can make them stressed out. Stressed out = death. Don't hurt froggies! And frog limbs are fragile. One net, one drop, one death. Simple as that. =( Just lure them with water and please relocate them at a nearby park with a water source. My home has no frogs (thanks to neighbor an pesticides) so don't take frogs for granted. They're hyper sensitive.
