Yeah, don't beat yourself up about it. I'm sure you're doing a spectacular job with the bunnies...there's nothing you can do about Mother Nature and her ways.

Have you ever read the book Watership Down? If you haven't, you should. It's about bunnies...you'd learn a bunch about them from it, it's a phenomenal book. If you haven't, take advantage of your current interest in rabbits to read it.

Thank you guys..but the last one died. *sigh* I was checking on her all night (thus I slept untill 5:00 PM) and just before I went to lay down..something told me to go see her again..she was gasping for air..she died in my hands.

She tried very hard just like Princess..I know believe we found them to comfort them through their deaths. God knows we love animals and would do everything we could. I actually find it somewhat of a blessing to have found them. It still hurts deeply, but seriously, how many people get this chance?

I could see it in all their eyes that they were somewhat out of it..but at the same time,peaceful..

I will check that book out,Drama Queen. :)

Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry! I'm glad you could have gone through this caregiving experience though. You're so lucky...you probably learned a whole lot more through this experience than some other people do in their lifetime...

And if you think of bunnies as peaceful and that sort of thing...Watership Down will change your ideas. xD They kind of kill each other in the book...but it's awesome anyway. And beautifully written. Just a lil' warning.

I'm sorry to hear about the bunnies, Medli. *hug*

You tried and at least they were safe for the last few days.

I'm sorry to hear that. Could have been their fate.
Rabbits have clutches of more than 3 rabbits (usually) and they leave the either eat or abandon the weak ones.
If that was the case with these, they probably lived longer in your care than they would have in nature. Even if that isn't the case, they probably lived longer than they would have if they were in a parking lot.
Thanks for trying.

XD That made me crack up, just the way you put it... but it's true. But yes, I'd recommend it to anyone even remotely interested in rabbits. Ooh... now I'm tempted to make as Kehaar set....

Never feed rabbits lettuce :o They can get very ill when they get too much of it. My rabbit died of eating too much fresh vegetables :(
