Create Your Own Paintbrush

Okay, after my last post (where I was whining about only getting a pink or island paint job for my lutari)... I decided that more than anything, I want a superhero paintbruh! How cool would that be?

So, the point of this thread is to come up with cool paint brushes that you would like to see TNT create.

1.) Superhero paintbrush. Everyone gets a superhero suit... and cape. Yes, I know capes are the leading cause of superhero deaths (thank you, The Incredibles!) but I like the look of them.

2.) Comic book. Have the neopets drawn in comic book style.

3.) Glamour / Mob. Not usuki style... but old Hollywood glamour. You know, guys in hats and double-breasted suits... and the girls done up like 1930s mols.

4.) Hillbilly. Omg. Trucker hats, daisy dukes, and flannel shirts!

5.) Private School. Uniforms, ties, and scarves. hahaha...



Can't wait to read everyone else's ideas!

You know, stick a wizards hat on, give em a staff and off you go.

Or stick some plate mail on them, whack Claymore in their hands and you've got a Paladin.

Hopefully all the base classes of D&D could be represented... Ish.

Monk / Warlock (... Yeah that ones a bit tenuous)

I like the wizard idea, the superhero, hillbilly, and prep school.

Personally, I wish they'd make a hippie brush. Not the disco - disco was a totally different era, and had nothing to do with hippies. Something where they had little bellbottoms with patches, long hippie hair, headbands, peace signs, etc.

But then, I'm a dirty hippie myself, so obviously I'm biased.

Jester
Your pet looks like a jester.

Racing Stripe
Your pet is red with a black stripe, or blue with a white stripe or any color combonation that looks nice.

Scared
You only ever see little bits of your pet. Like the ears, the tail, the nose, or whatever. Never the whole pet. It is like a scared cat or dog you adopt, and it just flashes by you to eat it's food and then darts under the bed. You are lucky to see your pet at all.

Super Happy Paint Brush
Your pet is yellow with a halo effect around the face. It ALWAYS smiles, even when it is sad. It is the opposite of grey.

Wet
Your pet is drenched and pitiful looking. Sort of like those poor drenched grey pets, only not grey, just drenched and miserable looking and giving you that wet cat "I hate you for this " glare.

Upside down
Your pet is standing on it's head? Walking on it's hands and fighting and doing everything upside down.



Anatomy
You see the muscles, veins, and insides. Eww!

Fluffy
Your pet is fluffy

Hairless
Your pet is hairless

Wrinkled
Your pet is wrinkled like a wrinkle dog.

Rootie
Your pet looks like a bulb with twisted roots for limbs and fingers and toes. Roots were hair would be. I could so imagine a grundo done like this.

Mossy Or Hedge
Your pet is like a hedge or mossy looking.

Porcelain
Your pet is white with a design like a china figurine. It may even have a handle on the back. It is cracked in the beaten pose.

Balloon
Your pet is a balloon

Neon
Your pet looks like a neo sign. You just see the outline and the inside part is black

Filthy
Pet is covered in garbage. There are stench lines and flies.

Sparkling
Your pet is very shiny. There is a white halo effect and sparkles. It is grinning, there is a sparkle in it's smile.

Bed Time
Your pet is sleepy looking. It has on a nap cap and slippers and gown. Maybe a teddy bear.

A glitter paintbrush, kinda like my sig, just a tad of animation, or none at all just make it glittery. The glitter bug seems to be going around the net right now, especially with the younger girls. And some older too... *pokes sig*. And really who doesn't like glitter, even guys do they just call it "bling".

A nerd/geek brush might be cute too.

I would like a chicken paint brush. Or maybe a bush, like those weird bush sculptures. Also, a water paintbrush, your pet could be all water.

I like the idea of porcelain. Maybe it could be more inclusive, though--like perhaps a China Paint Brush, and it could have flowers or something painted on it.

I also like Pixel, but more like 8-Bit or something.

Maybe an anime or manga paint brush would look nice--I don't really know exactly what constitutes anime/manga, but I think it would be an interesting style to emulate in a generic fashion.

What about Feral? Think Tyrannian, only without the ancientness. Long, shaggy, tangled coats, growing/hissing expression, and a wilder, less anthro look to them overall.

Neovian, Altadorian, and Shenkuunese brushes would be nice.

But I think the new clothing feature would be even nicer.

With regards to non-clothing brushes, I like the balloon pet idea a lot, Smudge! And I like the hairless idea too - only instead of a brush, it would be a pair of clippers.

Oh, poor little bald pets...bwahaha.

I wish TNT would just give up on brushes like 'custard' and 'chocolate' though. Looking at the list of recent color additions, you'd think TNT spent all their time brainstorming in the kitchen. ^^;

A way to add wings - just feathery wings - without the faerie or darigan pb would be neat, but I don't see this feature happening any time soon.

I'd also be up for pixel. Maybe. If done right.

But I would seriously quit neopets if they ever released any type of Anthro/teenager brush. It's neopets, not neopeople. I think keeping pets as genderless as possible is key.

SPACE I know we have the alien ashias but aside from them and well the grundos of course, we need a space themed brush. We have a spacestation and moon that get no time or plots these days they could stand to have a brush. Either space suit or make alienish ones like I dunno a kiko as a Grey, the Elephante with a tenticle nose or something.


There's already fire and air/cloud we should get earth and water too. Finish of the elements.

Yeah, I would be annoyed with an anthro brush of anysort. Even an anime one. The thing is - it's NOT an anthro site and it's NOT an anime site. Those things don't fit as well with the theme and would, unless done just so (still a quad look, but just . . . standing up?) would end up looking really stupid, IMHO. If you want your neopet to be anthro or look human, draw it.

For starters, I'd like to see the stone paint brush unretired. I hate that there is a colour that exists, but is unavailable.

Secondly, I posted about this once, a year or so ago, I'd love to see some kind of earth/leafy paint brush. It shouldn't be something stupid, though, like clods of dirt with leaves stuck on. There is the potential for vegetation based redraw colours to be very beautiful. The coulours would not have to be limited to green. Plants can be purple and red and all kinds of colours. I was actually goind to draw examples and mail it to them, but they said in an editorial that they no longer take user submitted images for legal reasons.

I also like the idea of something shiny and pretty like porceline. That would be nice for super sweet pets. We already have plenty of the darker colours.

Space pets would be interesting too... although faerie grundos already look like they are painted "space".

I think the royal brushes might be pretty close to what you mean, maybe? Or something else?

I love anthro/furry things, but I agree that anthro in a full sense wouldn't be good. On the site, the anthro style is very reserved for the more fully-grown characters in plots and such. (I still think of the pets as less mature versions of the site characters, as the pet images' names suggest.) Having custom images of one's own pet anthro is probably good enough, and perhaps even encouraged as part of a developed and mature pet profile, if you're into that kind of thing.
