Customizing Pets! (split)

It's not really fair to generalize. I for one, haven't been hoping for this. New paintbrush colors, yes, but not this. Plus, maybe people are being so negative because it's poorly done? *gasp* I can list a ton of other things I would have wanted done instead of this.

Another problem with this that I haven't seen people mention yet; The pet images are now in flash, meaning it will take about five times longer for it to load everytime they appear on a page.

I'm just glad that this is optional.

My grarrl is a shark, not a human. Why is he clenching his fist (fin?) in some kind of macho human pose?

Eh. I could live with this, but I'd sure be annoyed if my kau was a boy. Far, far too girly.

So that he can hold onto wands, staffs etc when Battledome items are added to this

The girliness is because your Kau is a girl. If its a girl, they elongate the eyelashes to make it look feminine.

This image is EXACTLY why I refuse to ever customize my lutari (not that I can right now anyway... my yellow Lutari is the only one I can't play around with in the beta test). Holy cats is that redraw bad.

I honestly don't mind the customization -- hopefully everything, at first, will cost a ton of money and then taper off, thereby deflating the economy a tad. I just really really hate this redraw. The Usul redraw isn't that bad at all. I love that I can take the darn bow off of my usuls' tails. However... the lutari. Ugggh.

I will say though... this little abomination of nature makes customization fun.

Hmmm. I like the idea but NOT some redraws.

Ashtaina - Cute . . . I like how the island bits go with the Strawberry, and the Gelert redraw is a step up from what they DID have.

Lanira - Okay, I actually like how the Tyrannian-Pirate look turned out. A lot better than simply Pirate, IMHO. Like the Lupe redraw.

Ryvendelle - Ugh. NOTHING except these tiny details looked even decent with a Cloud Cybunny. *groan*

Trias - CAN YOU SAY OOGALY? Ugh. First of all, none of the clothes would show up OVER his character, just BEHIND him. And he's missing his chin, and without a hat on he looked BALD. I tried to fix it by putting on the crown, but you see how stupid THAT ended up looking. Seriously, this was the BEST I could do with him.

The Darigan Aisha and Lutari made me cringe... But I think a part of me just died upon seeing the kyrii, because Royal Girl Kyrii is on top of my dream pets list. Or make that *was* if it looks anything like that redraw. Could anybody with a customisable Royal Girl Kyrii post a screenie?

I can't help but think the positioning of the wings looks really weird. That, and if you try to add a tail decoration, the wings block it out completely. I haven't really decided if I like the Kougra redraw or not...

I was considering a Darigan Aisha, but if that's the redraw for them, I think not. And the Lutari? ...I can't quite find words for that.

Mutant Draik has had backgrounds added.

I don't like the redraw of the Draiks arms - what is with the 2 claws and the thinning out of the body? The draik needs to be beefy, not a slender lightweight.

Halloween Uni in some different clothes. The Lost Desert Uni Cape looks like a nappy (diaper). :roflol:

I don't mind the redraw of the uni. I hated the last redraw and preferred the original which was a thicker, shaggier uni.

I love the concept of dressing pets up, but I wish the images were better looking. Of course you can't really expect darigan or faerie pets to retain their individual styles since all colours of a pet have to have the same pose. But I wish that the basic colours of some of the pets were better.

I like the way Kougras look in this, so I will probably use this feature with my Kougra. I do not like the way Elephantes look in this. The trunks are too distorted. I will probably never use this with my elephante. Aishas and Xweetoks are okay. I might dress them up occasionally.

edit: The look of the aishas in the customizer is beginning to grow on me.

I think the Tuskaninnies look a little bit weird. I dressed mine up but it looks better not customised. Anyway, I really like the idea, even if it needs some improvement.
