I'd like to, but no. First there's the problem that I'm too young. And even if I weren't I might not weigh enough(not sure, I hover right around the limit). And I wouldn't be surprised if my iron levels were too low.

I attempted to, but was too dehydrated. Halfway through I passed out. Horrible, painful memories :(

I'm not allowed to donate blood as I was part of a Hep scare. I'm clean for them, but i'm black listed for life.

I don't weigh enough, I have low blood pressure, and I have a primary cutaneous CD30-positive T cell lymphoproliferative disorder. I would if I could, though.

Thought about it, but lost the slip of paper I had at that time (it was at school, and I couldn't do it without the signature and the notices, etc.) So no, though I probably can't anyway.

Yes. I can't really understand not giving blood if you can but oh well.

I'm a little underweight to give blood but they didn't ask and I was fine. Type AB Positive and all! 8)

Too young still, but will once I can.

They won't take my blood in the US, though, so if I ever move back I wouldn't be able to.

(Edit) Okay, I've been informed that I need to be 17 to donate blood, not 18, so I guess I have to look into it sooner than I thought. :P

Nope. Not old enough, and don't weigh even close to the required number.

I always thought to donate blood, you had to be healthy. If the American Red Cross are worried about the weight limit of beds, that person isn't healthy!

<hr>

Edit: Okay, looking at the ARC website, you guys have rather loose definition of 'healthy'.

Don't you think so?

I had anaemia a while back. It's gone now after I foolishly overdosed on iron tablets  But I read that those who have it can't give blood and after reading it, I've never been bothered to actually get tested for whether I can give blood now. So, after a long story, no, I have never given blood.

Well, I actually WANT to give blood...except I don't meet the minimum weight limit :( (although I am old enough to donate)

I think I have to be tested for my cholesterol levels too because two years ago, they were too high. I think they might've gone down since then.

No, as I'm too young (I think), but I have had like a bajillion blood tests. Ok, twelve. Or something. When I had a bowel disease.

Well I had to 'give' blood when I was 13ish but it was because I was having some major surgery and they wanted to have some of my own blood hanging around if I needed it. It was definitely a bad experience probably because I was so young. :P

I REALLY want to, but I can't, its quite sad.
I've got 2 test tubes of my blood tested before, I'm not scared of needles.
I've got G6PD, if anyone knows what it is.
Its inherited and its nothing major, just that you can't take certain food and your red blood cell membranes are really thin.
So I'm not allowed to donate blood.

:(
