I like to enroll my Kougra in the Academy immediately after he finishes one course. I leave him there until I have the dubloons to pay for the course. Anyway, yesterday I received free training even though Kougra day istn't until today. I didn't think much of it. Today he finished the course and I immediately enrolled him again. It turns out this course is also free.

What I'm wondering is... do you think TNT would consider this to be taking advantage of a glitch? I mean, there's not much I could honestly do about it. The course has already started and it's impossible to cancel now. What do you think?

They could look at it as abusing a glitch. Just send a bug report

If I recall correctly, this sometimes happens when a pet day falls on a weekend. Send a bug report if you wish, but I wouldn't be too worried.

You weren't the only one, I did that too, but since this is the first pet day for me I figured it was normal.

When pet days fall on weekends you generally get the whole weekend. I know that in the news they mention "your [species] can get free training all weekend long!" so it's definitely not a glitch.

Edit:
Chia day
"Make sure you get the most out of Chia Day, as a special treat Cap'n Threelegs will be giving training to Chias all weekend."
Kacheek day
"Captain Threelegs has kindly agreed to give all Kacheeks that visit his Swashbuckling Academy free training all weekend and on Kacheek Day, so make sure you don't forget!"

etc.

Thanks for letting me know, metal. I guess this was an intentional feature. If they allowed it for Chias they'll allow it for Kougras. I guess they did it to avoid confusing casual and younger players. I'm not so worried anymore.

I learned the hard way, on Lutari day, that you have to go to Krawk Island for free training.
