Daze i gotta ask do you actualy play and get the pieces for the maps or do you buy them? Also do you almost always get something as good as a paintbrush?
I play the games for WC until I get impatient of waiting to win the right piece - usually when I am down to the last 4 or so.
Playing and winning pieces I already have is annoying but it does have a good side:
Having a SDB full of doubles is good for trading and also good when you get back to the same map again. It is not uncommon for me to have 12 or so pieces ready to put in when I start on the map again.
If I need certain pieces, I will trade - there is a good market out there for trading WC map pieces. I have converted a map and won a whinny (petpet) but all other maps I have won a petpet paintbrush or a paintbrush.
I have heard of people getting red codestones - that is why I wont buy them - trading is the best option.
If you are thinking of playing in the WC, then I would say just do it. Find the games you are good at and just enter the WC.
It took me almost a year to convert the Neopia Central map because I only played 1 game (until I found another game I was good at.)
But for the Space Station and Lost Desert, I can turn a map over in a month or 2 depending on if my games are in rotation.
