I'm wondering if they're going to use the current items, convert them, or just make new ones that are pet-specific. I'm not sure if hoarding the current ones will be a great profit or a great loss yet.

I'm not too concerned. They're just NP. And I think it'sm ost likely that they'll make use of these items. Less work, finally put the items they've had for ages to use, and it jsut makes sense. Then again, they sometimes don't make sense, but oh, well.

The items are cute, anyway.

hey, does anyone know where the petpage where we can see a preview of the redrawn neopets are? i'm pretty sure i've seen the link here in the forums but i can't find it now. i want to see a preview of the redraw of the maraquan gelert. it has been one of my dream pets but i'm now rethinking of getting one. but then, my lutari is killing me so ... gaah. decisions. =/

My Robot Uni is still naked. If royal pets got to keep their clothes, why oh why can't my uni keep her metal? Her eyes are freaking me out.

I think they're cute too, and I'm hoping they get used. Didn't mean to sound like I was overly concerned about the profit/loss - I'm personally not, but I personally know some people who might dive in with the assumption that they will profit, and invest a lot of effort into the little free time they have into earning nps. I can just see people in that situation easily devastated.

I'm going to be radical here and say that pets have been nothing but improved by the new art except for a handful of Darigan and Faerie versions, all of which seem to have been given alternate "classic" poses. The Mutant Lupe can even be reverted to the very FIRST version of its art, it seems.

Jubjubs look especially good. The Darigan Jubjub looks awesome now.

I honestly don't like the new Yurble. My spotted one looks like a badger or something now. I do like the cybunny, and the kacheek is okay. The Xweetok would be fine if they'd fix the eye color.

Now has anyone found out whether or not you keep your paintbrush items if you paint your pet a different color? Like right now my royal jubjub is basically a red jubjub with royal clothes. Could I paint him blue and then give him the clothes so basically his fur would change color but still be royal? Or even better paint my jubjub baby and then but royal clothes on him, any idea if this will work?

That is one of the most frustrating thing of all of this, in my opinion. Apparently until they slowly release these new wearable items, only painted pets that currently have 'clothing' and 'accessories' can be truly customised. The rest of us are just stuck with fugly pets. BTW you can't say fugly on Neopets (I tried to name a petpet that once). They consider it profanity. I know what it means, but that is the reason the slang term was introduced.

thanks. i've seen that though and the maraquan gelert looks like the old one. i'm quite unsure if tnt really maintained the old artwork or the owner hasn't converted it to the new artwork yet.

oh, has anyone tried painting over pets? will they be getting the new artwork or the old one?

I personally think the vast majority of pets are worse off after the revamp. Ones that are improved (IMHO) are Peophin and Flotsam. Some of them are OK in both versions. Some (like my Eryie) are only slightly worse in the new version -- though still worse.

But the more I see my new Aisha, the more the new Aisha annoys me.

Pets that are morphed/painted get the new artwork with no option to use the old artwork.
