Hasn't the NeoDaq always been clickable from the main page? I know I got terribly lost before I figured that out last time.

It was on the old layout, but when they revamped there was no link for about a week. You had to go through the games room.

I was totally confused by the new layout and where to find things but moving around I finally found most things and for what I didn't find I knew I would find here like hitting the Neopoints to get to your inventory and such page, thanks!! :)

Ugh. So I have IE7 and I use a code to block the top and bottom ads, but all of a sudden the top ads keep dropping down to cover the site header. It is really freaking annoying and I want to kill it because as soon as I move my mouse to click 'explore', something zooms down and I go somewhere that was not intended.

Anyone else having this issue and more importantly can anyone tell me how to make it go away?

That's happening to me too all of the sudden, I use a code as well, and I have Firefox.

I finally got that top ad banner space to go away. (WOOT!!) :oops: I guess IE considers it "important" too since that is all I had to add to the old code in my external style sheet. :)

Code:
#ban{display:none !important;}

I already have that, and I'm still getting the drop-down banners. Any hints on what I should do? (And please, total newbie guide. My brother, who is now in college, was the one to set up the old style sheet. :P )

Hmmm actual ads? Haven't seen any in a while since my browser not only has it's own adblocker, but I use a great HOSTS file on my computer now.

The only other thing I have in my external CSS is

Code:
.adBox{display:none;}

but I am unsure if that affects the top as well as bottom adholders? Might.

Worth a try. I use the site much less lately due to the new layout, but I have been having fun this past hour or so just removing the sidebar with the neopet AND the neofriend module, and also the header dropdown bar.

I am considering removing all of those, using the old fashioned golden wavy banner thing that is on almost every page (that I never used to use but I find has almost everything I usually use on it), and just making a bookmark to my quickref, etc. I see no need for all these extra modules.

If anyone is great with CSS out there, maybe they can tell me if there is a way to get the old resolution back? I see the pixel size of the #main layout, but I didn't know what to write to get my browser to alter the view.

Well, it didn't get rid of the top ad thingie, but I did get rid of the bottom ads. :P I'm still thankful, though, cause I was a little irritated that it was so easy to misclick on some of those ads.

Bah, I finally got one so now I know what you mean. I don't know how to eliminate them. :( It just used to work with the old codes.

EDIT: Oh, woah. I checked the domain of one of them and it is hosted on Neopets own server! How shameful. When I hover my mouse over it reveals the destination as http://www.neopets.com/process_click.ph ... m_id=10402 (and redirects to gocitykids.com) but the image itself bears the address http://images.neopets.com/728ads/gocitykids.gif. :roll:

I don't think it's just IE. My brother is reporting the same problem, and he uses FF. I think it may be what anjuna said, that neo is hosting the ads on their own server now, so they get past the adblock filters.

Yeah, when I went on firefox I was getting them, so I blocked three things from neo, and then it wouldn't let me click any of the top links (username, nepoints, log in).

It's doing that to me. I made no changes, but within the past 24 hours I've gone from being able to click the userlookup, inventory, and log out link to NOT being able to click any of them. It acts as if they aren't even text; they can't be highlighted.

I think it may have something to do with the new emotions. Instead of 9 poses, we're going to get one with the option of sad eyes, happy eyes, angry eyes, ect.

Or, you know, more glitches to go with the craptastic changes.
