I can't get it either, I'm in the UK - just another av denied to us Brits. I sent a really mean email to them, telling them how shocking I think it is that they've effectively made an American-only avatar, and that they made people pay for it.
Won't make any difference, though

I don't want to spend money on a stupid game on my cell. I do not even play with the games that I get for free let alone one that I have to work one and a half hours for.

What version of Macromedia Flash do you need in order to submit the codes? I've been having alot of problems with that. Like I would type in the code, click on "Submit" or "Clear" even but nothing would happen. I can see the flash animation as plain as day, which leds me to believe that I have the correct version of Macromedia Flash but...

I think it's nice. Not only do you get a game, but they also include an avatar for free. What's so wrong about that?

What you have to remember, is they are charging you for the game, to actually buy something. They are just giving the icons away free.
This is like the neopet codes they gave away with their merchandise a while ago (Do they still do that?)
Neopets know that some people will just download the game for the icon, this is where neopets are being clever. But still, the icon is a free item that comes when you buy the game

I'm just grateful this is the only thing you have to pay for. Neopets is still completly free, you don't HAVE to have this avatar. If you collect them, that's your choice.

What other avatar is denied to Brits?
This isnt an avatar that is 'American Only' its an avatar that is only for people with a certain phone carrier and with certain new models of phones. It's much more specific than a country.

Since I'm really not an avvie collector, I can see where both sides are coming from here. Bno (heh almost called you Robin! ^_^) makes a really great point about the avvie coming free with the game. Yes, only a specific group of people can get it... unless they're crafty enough to get it some other way. It's really the same with other ones, only there's not the whole money factor involved. Each has a target group. On the whole, there are "rich person" avvies, avvies for people who are good at games, avvies for restockers, and unfortunately avvies for people who have spiff new cell phones that want to pay $4 for a game.
