Have you tried loading them in real player? I play my .avi files there.

Whenever something doesn't work on WMP, I fiddle around with settings. That seems to help sometimes.
It might be that the .avi file you're working with is messed up.

Here are some questions that you might want to answer:
(a) Quote the error in question. Things like "Windows give me an error" is not exactly definite. In the bottom of the window where it would sya buffering, it says "Error loading Codec" and just plays the sounds but not the images.
(b) What's the AVI file? Are you sure of its integrity? Where did it come from?Downloaded offline and works in other players
(c) Try the same AVI file in WINAMP, VirtualDub(.org).
(d) What version of Windows Media Player are you using?9
(e) Was the AVI playing before?Never played from the start with WMP
(f) Did you do anything to your computer recently?Nope
(g) Does the same AVI play on a different computer? No clue

While I wait for the full idea of what I should be getting rid of, how do I share a .wav file I made with Sound Recorder? My free geocities account isn't letting me.
