*In 1st grade my best friend and I had pencil cans. We tied string around a pencil in each of our cans and connected it to make a "pencil clothesline" which we hung all sorts of stuff on.
*We slid down the stairs
*We dressed up and pretended that we were orphan sisters and there was this evil guy named "Van Pelt" who was trying to get us
*We played "Hot Lava Monster"
* We slept in tents at all our sleepovers
* We would go to the beach and collect clams and make a "clam farm" for them (wait, that was last week)
There are lots more that I can't remember.

Hi.

Oh!
We used to think Inspector Gadget was real... So we would think up all sorts of crimes which seemed to us like crimes he would solve (Where did the egg carton go? type things) And expect him to come and arrest us.. So when he never did, we went and made our own Inspector Gadget out of my friends mom whos nickname for us was Jessica when her actually name was Laurie.. And we had a shoebox which we would put hints like where we were at the time the 'crime' was commiteed, but seeing as she didn't know she was Inspector Gadget because we always refered to her as Jessica and never told her that it was her, the crimes always remained unsolved..
Oh, and when the kindergarden class was moving, we totally raided the toys. When everyone was out for recess, we would ask to go in to use the bathroom, and go in the class when no teachers were there and stole all the toys, except a stuffed elephant and all the boys toys.

Thread revival! Heh.

I went through a tent phase. Actually, I made tents all through my primary school years. I used to use sheets and blankets propped up with sofas and tables, and crawl in there with food. ^_^

Also, we had a little game similar to the "burrito" or "hot tamale". Two people would put someone on a sheet, we'd stand on either side (and bunch up each side of the sheet, so it looks a bit like the person on the sheet is in a cacoon), and swing the person back and forth.

Is it just me, or did most of the stuff we did when we were little kinda..dangerous?

While we were in second grade, me and my best friend were going to be archeologists. Of course, the next day we changed our minds.

And oh, we played that we were pokemons. Whoa.

Ooo! I remember...

-We had two couches in our basement that had these awesome cushions that you could prop up really easily. I would go to one couch, take off the cushions on both couches (one couch was considerably bigger than the other, thus more cushions), and prop all of the cushions on the smaller couch. I would first make walls out of them, struggling to keep them in balance, and I would leave a crack open for my "door". Then I'd make the roof out of these large square cushions, but most of the time I'd use blankets and drape it across. Then I'd drag pillows into my fortress, and some beanie babies. I'd pretend I was a cougar if, say, the beanie baby was a cougar. It would be my cub or something like that. And I would always pop in a movie and watch it through my "door". I enjoyed myself a lot that way. :P

- I would go into my backyard with some friends and take out pinecones. We'd make "nests" for the pinecones and sit on them, pretending they were our eggs. If you broke them (which was nearly every time), you failed as a mother. xD

-I'd go to my pool and my friends would pretend to be certain "Pokemon", and we'd attack each other with the water.

I think two years of my life consisted of pulling my shirt over my knees and hiding inside of a flax bush...

I remember my friend gave me this great idea (well I thought it was at the time) to pile up all my soft toys so I could touch the ceiling. I did so then left my room. About two seconds later I heard a huge crash and my dad had fallen through the ceiling on to my bed where I'd been two seconds ago. He'd been in the loft and the ceiling just caved into a part of my room. He was okay though. Close one.

But it's quite funny to look back on... in some ways.

Well, we used to pretend we were cartoon characters. We pretended we were power rangers, barnyard animals, all sorts of crzy stuff like that. We also span about in the middle of the street until we either hurled or collapsed. It's fun. You should try it. Now.

Ah, I guess this calls for the classic story..."Why Cassi Can't Count".

My best friend when I was younger (OK, younger being like...4) was Jenn. Her mum babysat me at their house, so I was over there all the time. Now, we had these baby dolls we carried around everywhere, and we invented all sorts of lovely games.

Time for a little description. Jenn's room was upstairs. In her room, there was a small flight of stairs (OK, 4 =P) leading to her parents room. At the top of these, there was a small part of the wall that was angled, because the main stairs were underneath. Now, we didn't know that was why it was angled. (To be honest, we only found out a couple years ago) We thought it was a little closet-type area. So, we'd pretend our dolls were stuck in there with a bomb. "It's going to go off in 10 seconds....5 seconds...2 seconds! It's gonna go off in 30 seconds!" We found this most amusing and played it at least once a week.

I am convinced that is why neither of us can now count. Jenn tries to tell me it was all my fault, though I don't know how a four year old would come up with that...

And that concludes today's storytime. I have more, but that's just the classic. =P

- We used to zoom around the playground pretending to be pokemon/digimon. I was one called 'WolfDude' who digivolved into 'Fire WolfDude' who digivolved into 'Metal WolfDude'. And my favourite was one called Friiibee. XD I pretending to be a frisbee that squirted out water.

- When we were 7 we used to play in the water pool thingy in school and pretend to make ginger beer. ^_^

- We used to play this game called 'Join on if you want to' you paraded around the playground in a big chain yelling 'JOIN ON IF YOU WANT TO! JOIN ON IF YOU WANT TO!'. It was fun :)

As far as at school goes, that's just a whole other list...

We had new clubs every couple weeks, depending on what we decided to be interested in. I remember one time we couldn't think of one, so I was walking up to people saying, "Wanna join my stupid club?" "What's it about?" "Don't know, that's why it's stupid!"

Our favourite game was that there was a tornado coming, and we had to warn all our friends and run down to the bottom of the hill. This started because there was a walkway that was kinda in the ground, and someone (OK, it was probably me XD) said it looked like the path of a tornado.

Can't think of anything else at the moment, but I'm sure there's a lot more. =P

I gave numbers personalities. It helped me with my math.

Seven and eight are brothers, together they make fifeteen. Six and eight liked each other, so eight ditched seven to go with six. Even though that meant being fourteen and not fifteen.

You may start laughing now.
